      here is another one of Valencias website: Valencia new stadium
      Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
      'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

      "Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

              Rushy well done
              Thank **** for that.

              I like this Hicks bloke already. The old new stadium design was an identikit mediocre. If we are going to move it should be worth it.

                  Seeing as we're talking about desirable stadiums, for me something like the Westfalenstadion in Dortmund, with a single tear Kop of 25,000 would be quite something.

                    According to UEFA's requirements for 2012;
                    "....have space between the field of play and the edge of the spectator seating area measuring at least 7.5m behind each goal and at least 6m along the touchlines"

                    It's not that bad as OT, Millennium and Westfalenstadion all meet this requirement the fans dont seem that far away in these stadiums. Remember the atmosphere at the Westfalenstadion for the Germany/Poland game in the world cup? It can be done

                          How long can they afford to throw money at LFC before we start becoming self sufficient or giving them a return on the investment

                          The current stadium plan is set for completion summer 2009, this could severely put back this date

                          Im not so sure what you are saying is true about H&G needing to make money asap. LFC does not have to be operationally proftiable asap for them to invest in bigger and better infrastructure and players. It seems they are in this for the long haul. Increasing the 'brand' value by winning titles increase the value of the club exponentially which is what H&G will be after rather than quick profits. Look at Moores whose orginal investment of 12 million turned into 88 million. Theres little scope for quick profits unless players are sold and ticket prices are put up big time-which of course wont happen. This doesnt mean they will spend Abramowich like but expect to see more LFC overseas tours particularly in the Far East and South America, better merchandising, and bigger abd better sponsorship arrangements.

                          If there are truly 56,000 waiting for seasons tickets H&G will do everything they possibly can to ensure they meet this demand. Frankly, LFC is such a powerful brand (and I know lots of people hate that word) and so much of its brand potential untapped worldwide that H&G will use all of the considerable resources at their disposal to make sure the club matches the other few clubs who can trylu be called global giants.

                            My word. Could you imagine if this were to go ahead. Picture Anfield now on an European night and then double it.

                            I'd assume for lower key cup fixtures they could close of some of the upper tiers and put fans in the lower tiers to make it look not so empty on tv and it saves the cost of having security etc on upper tiers when you can fit everyone together.

                            My question is, do you think we could get 70-80,000 regularly?
