Our "wrong man" has still got more League goals than Berbatov though but fair play to Berbatov for getting a few in the FA Cup and a load against absolute dead beats in the Uefa Cup.Comment

from what i have seen what we need isnt berbatov instead of kuyt, or kuyt instead of berbatov...we bloody need both...he looks like just the type of striker who could play off kuyt to me...and a far more clinical finisher....sell bellers to villa, and get lennon and berbatov from spurs. Then id be happy.

In a sense Jol got lucky - Kuyt was his clear first choice but 'stepped aside' as he knew he had no chance what with our interest, and he turned to Berbatov. He's always been a good player, but he's rarely shown this level of form (apart from a wonder goal on the CL against Roma in an empty stadium).
You've got to say it's pretty clear who the superior footballer is, although I do think his current form might be flattering him just a little bit.
