Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

I'm sure I posted that song ages ago or am I imagining things and hallucinating after two bottles of Gaymers?

But their version was a cover of the old Lulu classic, right?

Feck me, i'm not going to waste my 100th post debating if Lulu originally sang a Tears for Fears cover of the song that is the only poor excuse of a tune of our poor excuse of a striker*.

                      Oooops...Too late.

I like Dirky, He will get better. ray:

Congrats on your 100th post and good luck with the next 3,500!

I think Dirky's a great player but he needs a better finisher alongside him. Hopefully George and Tom will dig deep in the summer and provide us with a new hero...

one thing i notice about him is, he is a terrible header of the ball.

yeah his timing just seems all of doesnt it. Same can be said for his poaching skills.

His first touch isn't very good either.
