On for ten minutes, didn't touch the ball then...BANG...he suddenly comes into life. Very unlucky with the header, I've just seen the replay, unbelievable save from their 'keeper. That's what you get with Fowler, he's a natural goal threat always has been, always will be.

We've got far too many 'workers' in this current squad and not enough 'luxury' players. I'd find a way to accomodate Fowler.

I really feel that if Rafa had given Robbie 10-15 starts this season he would have easily outscored the like of Crouch, Kuyt and Bellamy. I'd start Fowler against Arsenal in our next game.

    God.

I've been saying this since he rejoined us in January 2006, he's a natural goalscorer, end of.
Get him the service and he'll score goals, or at least make the keeper work.

Should start every league game till the end of the season, give me one good reason why he shouldn't?

Dont' need to, 12 goals in 33 games speaks for itself.
Many of which from the bench.
GOALS, GOALS, GOALS, that's Fowler for you.

for once I agree with Marky...why not start with Fowler for the remaining league games? Whats to lose? Im pretty ****ed off with making excuses for Rafa, Kuyt, Crouch & bellamy now to be honest....isnt it obvious that we have a problem up front? then for ****s sake change something!!
I really hope im not disappointed by our summer signings again this year...............

your missing tha fact that he can't run out a game...he should be a sub like yesterday. He still poses a threat for sure, but he runs out of gas after 30 minutes

Your right he did nearly score today. He's been nearly scoring for about 10 years now.

Bellamy got a raw deal yesterday. He was looking like he might get a goal when all that long ball stuff was going on at the start but when that dried up he didn't get a sniff.

I hate the long ball style but it was the closest we got, bar Fowler's header to having a decent pop on goal.

I like Kuyt but his first touch was woeful yesterday and he missed another header that others may have put away. Fowler & Bellamy up front next game, Stevie back in the middle and Pennant should start after his decent cameo. We might even create some chances

Kuyts first touch is often very good. Its his second thats the problem. He knocks it just that tad too far out

Well either way, he needs to sort it out pronto

He can look extremely dangerous when he's got the ball under control so it's a shame he hasn't yet mastered the basics in that respect.

I’d play Kuyt over Folwer at the moment…. Kuyt just offers no goal threat… he spends all of his time 35 yards from goal… at least Fowler & Bellamy look to get into goal scoring positions

Fowler needs to get a game as he will get into scoring positions.
