I agree and disagree mate he's not able to play full games in succession but I wouldn't suggest that anyway I think he should've come on with 30 mins to go yesterday and I think he would've scored.Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostYes, if he has no energy. He'll be caught off side all the time or just not up with play.
We need quick incisive passing and quick movement from our players. Fowler can't offer that anymore, he's still got all the talent in the world but he's never going to be sharp enough. The game has moved on and Robbie has been left behind. He could have one good game but he'd be shattered for the next one.
Had it not been for the injuries then he would still be a world beater, but he's finished at this level.
I think if he starts expect 60-70 mins and then take him off.
I disagree that he is not up to quick incisive passing he'e one of the few players we have who can still play with really quick incisive passing and he has shown this on numerous occassions. Most recently his touch to Stevie for his goal against Sheffield.

[QUOTE=looprevil;346811]I admire Kuyts efforts but he lacks the vital ingredients for a top class centre forward - The ability to finish, the pace, awareness, not being in the box as often as a Dutchman should be (
) arguably even worse in the air than Crouchie and he is as ugly as **** to boot (sorry.. the last one was a joke
).
[QUOTE]
He scored plenty of goals in Holland

Lets shake it up ring a few changes Fowler is well worthy of a start and should be getting a 2/3 game run to decide his contract! He is a proven Goalscorer in the prem which is more than can be said for Kuyt!!
Give the lad he does work his socks off in games but is'nt providing the goals and that is what we need!
I guarantee if Robbie gets a 2/3 game starting run he will score!! And this crap about scoring against **** teams Galatasaray aint **** and any premier league team for that matter are not **** either!!
Give him a chance...play Fowler!!!!
check your figures - i think you will find that in the last 8 or 9 seasons he has been anything but

Unless Rafa and his coaching staff aren't as good a judge of players as the pro-Robbie lobby of course...There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.

Rafa doesn't have a ****ing clue about buying, selling, coaching, man managing or developing strikers.
Cisse, Baros, Pongolle, Mellor, Fowler, Morientes, Kuyt, Bellamy and Crouch...
There's a lot of talent there, yet Rafa hasn't been able to coax the best out of a single one of them.

i agree, its hard to watch, his first touch is abysmal. being dutch and a fairly prominent player for the national team i expected the technical stuff to be second nature to kuyt. i also expected him to be sharper in front of goal.Originally posted by Airman View PostI disagree. Watch him more closely. His first touch is appalling the majority of the time. I honestly cannot remember a Premiership player with a worse first touch on such a consisitent basis and that's what worries me about him. Surely he should have the basics right by this stage of his career?
i do appreciate the work he puts in for the team, i just think he's overused by rafa

I hate the long ball style but it was the closest we got, bar Fowler's header to having a decent pop on goal.
I like Kuyt but his first touch was woeful yesterday and he missed another header that others may have put away. Fowler & Bellamy up front next game, Stevie back in the middle and Pennant should start after his decent cameo. We might even create some chances
Plus, I hope Crouch is later brougt on...Torres Fan Club Member #2, Lucas Leiva Fan Club Member #1

You have said yourself many times how **** the likes of Cisse were - are you claiming to be able to train him up to world class standard?
Not having a go mate, I just think you are being a bit harsh and a bit black and white in your posts, something which I never do*

I couldn't do better no, but then I'm not being paid millions of pounds a year with an army of scouts all around the world and limitless resources.
Do you really think Rafa has a clue when it comes to strikers ? I dont.

For the money he has spent, who else would you have bought? The budget he has had has seriously limited his striking options. Judge him after he has had some cash to spend.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostHa Ha

sorry mate, dont see a lot of talent there!! Morientes himself said the premiership was to hard......Baros the great(as if) Martin o neil couldnt make it work for him, i would argue him and cisse were uncoachable!!
Pongolle, doing ok in spain, fowler 10 yrs to late, bellamy, crouch and kuyt have done ok
Are u saying he would ruin a huntelaar, villa?_____________________________________
