        Torres would be a landmark signing as would anyone like villa, lahm and alves. It would show to the footballing world that once again we can compete alongside the other 'rich' clubs for the best players. It doesn't matter whether they go on to fulfil their potential in the premiership, although we would all be dissapointed if they did not. Of more importance is that the best players will once again want to play for Liverpool (more will succeed than fail in my opinion) and this will scare the **** out of our rivals. We have the greatest history, its time to build on it.

          I really like Bent. I would be happy if we got him for the right price, assuming we got two creative midfielders as well.

                      If we get Bent then its another second prize, for me anyway. If we do get a new striker then it has to be a proven performer at the highest level.

                      I dont dislike Bent per se, i just fail to see what he offers us that we dont already have, hes not the 20 goal a season player we so desperately need IMO, theres a lot better out there, and to sign him would for me be a massive disappointment and no sign of intent from Rafa whatsoever.
