I've only seen him a handful of a games and I can tell you he is class. I agree with you that we'll probably be priced out of the market for him now and we have missed our best chance to sign him, however I dont know whether that is more Rafa's fault or the usual dithering from Parry and Co.White liquid in a bottle = Milk
Purslow = C*nt

He popped up in here not too long ago. Cannot remember what name he is going by now. Has the same avator though, and you cannot mistake his postings.

Its ok saying Rafa shouldnt have signed all those players but got Alves instead but what if Alves signed and then got himself injured on the opening day of the season.
Its a shame Gillett and Hicks didnt take over last season so we could then have had the cash to buy Alves but you cant blame Rafa for not been prepared to put all his eggs in one basket.
If anyone is to blame its the board for not finding the extra 2-3 million it would have cost to sign Alves.

As usual Jamo,everything is Rafa`s fault.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostAlves is pure class, anyone who has seen him play more than a handful of times will agree. Unfortunately, he'll be far too expensive for us now and he'll end up at Madrid, Barcelona or Chelsea in the summer.
Rafa made a huge mistake by not signing Alves last summer.
Sadly, I've never seen anything in Mark Gonzalez to suggest he's a Liverpool player, I have no idea how he got the nickname 'speedy' either, as he's not *that* fast.
This time it was the board who refused to stump up after Seville bumped the price in the middle of negotiations with us,if i remember right.rafa tried his best to get Alves.

We had agreed a deal with Sevilla only for them to do a Simao on us and bump the price.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Ah, I see the RCDNW brigade are out in force tonight...Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostYes. They obviously know better than Rafa.
In the past three years ONLY Mourinho has spent more money than Rafa Benitez, yet many of you appear very happy to swallow Rafa's "I've had no cash to spend...honest" line.
Rafa could have bought Kuyt and Alves in the summer. He didn't, he decided to bring in a load of fringe players to bulk up an already over-inflated squad.
Last summer: Alves = 15m maxmimum
Last summer: Gonzalez, Pennant, Bellamy, Paletta and Aurelio = 15m
Can you see it now ?

Of course you are working on the assumption that Alves would've been a better player for us than any of those who were signed. You have no evidence that this would've been the case. It's pure speculation.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostAh, I see the RCDNW brigade are out in force tonight...
