We play them atleast 2 times a year without WWIII.

But we dont play them in a European Cup final with 50k fans on each side in a different country in the heat and on the ale all day, nor do we travel to the games with them from UK airports.

I hope we get manure IF we get to the final. Concerning problems with mancs supporters, why would it be so ? Sorry if I'm sounding stupid for asking that but we play them home and away every year and I've not noticed any problem of note, apart from isolated incidents here and there. And we've played them many times in Cup finals. Why would it be different on a European Cup Final.

If we lost to Utd in a game second only to the World Cup Final, the biggest game in club football in the world, Id be ****ing livid. I cant even think about it. Id take them winning the league for the next 5 years if we beat them in the CL final. Id be dining out on that for the rest of my days.

If we play them in the final, I really, really can't see how the logistics can work. There will be serious trouble, can you imagine the scenes at Manchester or Liverpool airports?

It'd kick-off way before anyone even gets on a plane and imagine being 30,000 feet up half the plane full of Mancs, the other half full of scousers.

No mate as I don't live in the UK. I know of the animosity between us and the mancs as I had run ins with some of my friends in the past, but it wasn't more than a couple of insults and nearly blows.

I can understand 40,000 pissed fans taking the mickey out of each other and what this can be, but at the end of the day, this is a ****ing sport isn't it ?

I can't imagine going to watch my team and having the fear not to come back because of hooliganism. Thought that was a thing of the past in english stadiums.

Nothing you could ever say would convince me that a European Cup final between Man Utd and Liverpool can be dismissed as "just a sport".

I'd be happy taking their taunts, but i'm 100% sure that wouldn't be the case for everyone... It would only take 1 or 2 to start wading in, and then 5 or 6 going into help their friends, before it quickly escalates into the whole ****ing lot end up cutting lumps out of each other!

It's the foreign factor of this that's the problem. If it was in England then there'd be no problem as they'd be able to handle the logistics of travel, segregation etc.
