Garcia WILL eventually be part ex'd for a player from an incoming Spanish team. I've been saying it since Day 1 of his arrival. His stock is on the rise (i.e. he's now part of the Spanish squad), and he only has 2 years left on his contract, so his price will be at it's peak, unless he signs a new contract. If we have a genuine interest in Tevez, then Garcia's the obvious one to go, as Tevez isn't a prolific striker, and plays in the same position as Garcia (i.e. in the hole). If Barca have an interest in one of our players and we're trying to do a deal for Eto'o, then I believe that Rafa would much rather let Garcia go than Alonso.
I think we should definitely keep him. And I don't mind so much when loses the ball because he works hard to get it back. If he stood there, hands on hips, or turned away, then it would be a problem.
That's a good point. I suppose the question is "Why WOULD Barca want Garcia back?"
1) Because he's a goalscoring creative matchwinner on his day
2) Because he's developed into a regular international
3) Because he's a CL winner
4) Because he knows the club & La Liga
5) Becuase if Deco IS moving on, they need a replacement "in the hole"
6) Because he would be an inexpensive, effective replacement for Deco in La Liga

I think we'd be mad to let him go. We don't have many creative players as it is and there's no telling how well the new signings will fit in. Even if they do work out great, Garcia can cover a number of positions and would given us strength in depth when it comes to genuine creative talent.
