this chant is going to be boss next week - everybody was asking me the lyrics after the match and hopefully it'll be sang before kick off in the home leg so's everyone gets to know them.'Of course I didn't take my wife to see Rochdale as an anniversary present.
It was her birthday.
Would I have got married during the football season ?
Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves.'

The Campione chant started as far as I can remember after the 84 European Cup win in Roma. Towards the end of the season, the Anfield review had a picture of the roma team stood behind boards that spelt out CAMPIONE.
We started singing it after the 84 final then others tried to copy it but sang it wrong.Parry is a clown. En Rafa que confiamos

To be honest, i don't know much about the history side of things. My dad says it is a beautiful country & he would love to go back but my mum who is Greek would not allow it as her life is here now.Originally posted by Dhavlos View PostHi Mate.
My dad is from Nicosia, my mum is from Dhavlos (hence my username obviously) in the now Turkish occupied areas. It was a very beautiful place, about 35 years ago. Our house is in Choirokitia.
A lot of my family was relocated to your dad's neck of the woods after the invasion.
Anyhow, the wife & i are contemplating moving overseas with Cyprus being one of the destinations, Croatia being the other (her background). Just over the mentality here in Australia. It's all work & no play

Haha, almost everybody says it like that nowOriginally posted by rushscored4 View PostI've heard other teams (like the thick Mancs) sing "Championi" instead...

Problem is, in Spanish I think it is pronounced with a 'ch' sound, hence the ole ole ole version as well. So in campioni Liverpool it is a hard c and in the new song it should actually be campione after all and is a 'ch' sound. I think
