1991, the last time we turned around a first leg defeat
I was at that game, I remember going nuts when Mike Marsh scored
We were 2-4 down from the first leg (thanks to that ginner loon Mike Hooper) and then we thumped them 3-0 in a classic Anfield European match.
That might not be the one your thinking of Tom but it's the last one which sticks in my memory. I remember "Shoot" magazine printing an apology to LFC for doubting them after the first leg
Rafa's team seem to be quite good at comebacks : Olympiakos, Istanbul, West Ham (FA cup), Luton (FA cup).
I don't think we in THAT different a position to the last semi at Anfield. OK we're 1-0 down but we still HAVE to score as we did that night and the Chavs will still be looking for a goal as they won't want to sit on a 1-0. We still can't afford to conceed as we couldn't on that night 2 years ago.
This match is still in the balance, I'm quietly confident.

I was just watching a second string Liverpool team shut out a seasoned team of Internationals thorugh sheer hard work and belief. Liverpool Vs Juventus away in 2005. I don't know where, other than wearing the Liver bird on their chest, this overwhelming belief came from.
We now have a team, much better than we had in 2005, meet a team that has effectively lost the Title by conceding two goals at home to a Bolton side. They have shown that they are vulnerable, plus they are on a down after losing the title, plus they have no idea whatsoever the crowd will be like on Tuesday, JOhn Terry has done more than you can imagine to get the crowd going; plus they are tired and they have almost certainly lost Carvalho.
In our Favour?
We are Liverpool, captained by a man who has tasted victory, supported by a living breathing legend who was there with him in Istanbul, and nearly expired on the pitch for the glory of the world's most romantically glorious club. Others who are champions league winners will be in the drsssing room, telling the others what it means and the reception they got when they came home with the European cup. They will no doubt have seen the five glittering prizes in the Trophy room - and I'm sure each and everyone of them would kill to be iremeberd along with the pantheon of stars that adorn the Anfiled Trophy room. Can Chlesea do that? Does a Mercenary have the same belief hat infuses the very fibre of our club.
No.
So believe and the strngth of you belief can flow, through the crowd, to urge us on to number 6.
I rest my ****ing case.

What we have to do next week: is to carve-out an equalizer, hold-off dogbreath for 90 minutes, hold him off for another 30 in extra time and go for the lottery of pens. I can't see chelski shipping 2 goals over 90 mins as their defence is too strong. Am I pessimistic. Yes frankly.
Spooky!
Nice prediction Tom
