dont worry Mary, If Rafa is around for a few years, I am confident we will get there again, and hopefully next time it will be much much closer to home instead of eastern Europe.
Its quite staggering to think that Rafa in the last 4 seasons, including this one, has reached 3 European finals and only been kocked out of Europe once. Im sur that now Rafa has decent money to spend and the tactical knowledge that he has, that we will be the team to avoid in Europe for a while.

UEFA will probably sell Milan's returned tickets to some Juve fans, such is the great manner in which they make these decisions...

I agree. But the way they did it was pathetic too. EVERYONE with 6 credits just goes straight in? Nonsensical.

I wonder how many werent going to go anyway, and got tickets which they'll pass onto their mates (who also probably dont qualify) or worse still, to the highest bidder.

I think they should have separated those who had 6 credits by then looking at how many league games you went to.

I went to every home game and got all 6 credits and went to Haifa.

I know someone who only got 6 credits and got a ticket to Athens.

The club should have given the tickets based on supporter loyalty and that can ONLY be measured by games attended generally.

If they stop rewarding loyalty, why should I go to every game when they're on for free in the pub.

but i do think the club need to be made aware, in another way, that the way that the UEFA induced scarcity was handled was not fair to fans who go week in week out, who were treated the same as fans who may have only been to 6 games this season.

IMO, the 'loyalty points' should be based on ALL games recorded, not competition specific. It rips the piss that i've been to nigh on 40 games this season and miss out, while some fecker who could've been to just 6 CL home games, gets a ticket for athens.

I know there's more demand than supply and i accept totally that loads will miss out. I dont doubt that there's plenty more 'loyal' than me, who have gone to more games than me and spent more money - they'll have missed out, and it's disgusting IMO.

All loyalty points should no longer be competition specific, if you've been to 15 league games, even only 3 or 4 CL games and 3 carling cup games, you should get a ticket above someone who only bothered to turn out for the 'glory' games in the CL.
