Are you saying it's right for people to be able to get tickets for the final when they've not been to any previous rounds? I don't think that's fair at all. Just to be clear, obviously that's NOT something that comes into play with the mess we're in now, but it would be an issue if tickets were given based on loyalty without taking into acount which competition people have been attending for.Originally posted by lfcruleus View PostYeah but the seasos will have spent the cash in the first place so entitled to the points. your right about the possibility of a second level never thought of doing that, that could then be based on a similar scheme.
You could do what Syd suggested and give more points for certain games but then how do you weight them? Brings up a whole other argument. Not only that but it would be more complicated. I think it would be perfectly fair if tickets were initially given to those who have attended most games in the particular competition that season, and then for the borderline criteria where some will get tickets and others won't other competitions should be taken into consideration.
I don't think anybody would've complained if they'd said from the start of the season that instead of doing a massive ballot for those on the borderline, tickets would be made available by loyalty in other competitions - in this case something like 6 credits plus a total of 25 league and cup games first, then down from there.Like blood on iron

at what point will this bickering stop and allow us to unify and celebrate another fantastic achievement by getting to the European Cup final? Will you still be whining at the club as milan fans are vocally backing their club? Ive had it with this arguement, its not ideal and I can see where your coming from, U.E.F.A are the main ****wits in my opinion so stop being a bitter **** and start supporting the club we all love. Negativity never ever helps anyone or anything.

The fact that 6,000 seats are being taken up with advertising hoardings because the stadium is not up to holding a football game of this magnitude is an even bigger disgrace.
17,000 tickets available.
13,000 left after 7+ qualify.
Even if all of those went into the ballot, It would still leave quite a few of the "I've been to every match for years" brigade missing out.
I think to call other qualifying fans as dickheads is a bit below the belt.
I qualified and missed out but I'm not calling for Parry's head.
I feel more pissed off at UEFA.
I think thats absolutely spot on mate, the root of all this UEFA not saying LFC aren't at fault for somethings but it all starts with UEFA and giving their family 40k worth of ticketsThomas Hicks Senior

No worries mate.Originally posted by lfcruleus View Postsorry not being personal just angry as i now have a flight and am gonna have to go and try and get a ticket by other means. Unless i can sell my flight.
I understand your frustrations, I suppose it's better than having a ticket with no flight.
Get over there and enjoy the atmosphere and take this banner with you.

I think they could have made it a little easier on themselves by giving ST holders who have been to the games priority. The first parameter of 7+ games was fine because you still had tickets left. I thin the next lot of tickets should have gone to ST holders who had 6 credits for champions league games, and you may find that wuould have taken care of the rest of the tickets. If not then have a ballot for the rest. You could have avoided the situation that a ST holder could have been to every single home game in every competition for the last trillion years losing out to someone who had been 6 times in their lives. Quite simple really, maybe too simple for a system that usually ends up in complexity

To be honest mate your last point is quite an asinine view on things, in 2005 i was a student and had to work weekends, to get a bit of cash together, thus i was able to go to the midweek matches and saw us all the way to the semi final vs chelsea. Just because you were in a position to be at the weekend games doesn't make you any more deserving to be at the final than me. Which is why trying to find a suitable system is difficult and a ballot can look suitable to some fans. As it happened i never went the final because i couldn't afford the inflated flight prices for flights, but i didn't go moaning to the cheif exec of BA or any other airline because i was getting shafted, i took it and watched the final in the pub and had a damn good timeOriginally posted by lfcruleus View Postand i followed the system only to be ****ed over by it, the system is nearly fair but why narrow it down to one competition you should recieve points for every game you go to which builds up your rating, Man City do this that way even the season ticket holders wouldnt moan as they would automatically get the league games. You should then get more points for away games and even more for European aways, It isnt rocket science and noone could moan.
As for people not being able to go to weekend games then that is a choice mate life is full of choices.Thomas Hicks Senior

I had to plan to go to the Barca game at Anfield months in advance because of work etc. Getting to the CL games is virtually impossible for me.
