I assume this is a weak attempt at sarcasm as you obviously werent arsed about going to Athens, if you were as frustrated as people like myself then you might understand. I have a 500 quid flight and no ticket which i cant cancel and plenty of dickheads who have been to 6 games this season have a match ticket, i have spent over a grand a year for the last ten years following the club and have been to every home game this season without a season ticket and get no credit for that, Parry is in the job at the top of this fiasco. No matter what he has done previously for the club (my opinion of him was very good before this) he has to be held accountable for stupid decisions, thats why he gets paid what he does.

A cynic would say that did you go to all these games because you wanted to see Liverpool or because you wanted credit? I agree with your post entirely except the "get no credit for that". Surely getting credits is a by product of going. Maybe I'm misinterpreting your post.

I went to the games to see Liverpool obviously what i meant is that it is not taken into account against people who only go to the cup games.

and i followed the system only to be ****ed over by it, the system is nearly fair but why narrow it down to one competition you should recieve points for every game you go to which builds up your rating, Man City do this that way even the season ticket holders wouldnt moan as they would automatically get the league games. You should then get more points for away games and even more for European aways, It isnt rocket science and noone could moan.
As for people not being able to go to weekend games then that is a choice mate life is full of choices.

However aren't we saying for this particular ballot that tickets have "gone missing" in reality. Surely the two arguments are different and one is a club policy whereas the other is...well, deception?

Oh and by the way i wasnt part of any protest today and didnt see any of it, i do think that the club as well as Uefa havent come very well out of any of this.
With us being part of G14 along with Milan pressure should be put on UEFA to make sure this bollocks never happens again 20000 is a ****in big family.

There has to be a balance - make it dependant primarily on attendance in the specific comeptition but have a second criteria to separate further if necessary. I think the problem is really that Parry ****ed up by not introducing a second level of loyalty to separate people who have the same number of credits, he should have known the auto cup scheme would mean loads more on 6 credits. Instead we ended up getting loads of people relying on a lottery, which is always going to mean a lot of pissed off people.

Yes fully agree, Our community club has been lured into the football money trap im afraid, it was always gonna happen eventually.

But you could make the earlier rounds worth more loyalty points than the Premiership games.

Yeah but the seasos will have spent the cash in the first place so entitled to the points. your right about the possibility of a second level never thought of doing that, that could then be based on a similar scheme.

The fact that 6,000 seats are being taken up with advertising hoardings because the stadium is not up to holding a football game of this magnitude is an even bigger disgrace.

sorry not being personal just angry as i now have a flight and am gonna have to go and try and get a ticket by other means. Unless i can sell my flight.

Bloody UEFA need to put these games at proper stadiums. 63,000 for the biggest game on the planet is ****ty. Moscow next year will be different but at least 75,000 should be the norm.
