Fans protests are so lower division/ newcastle utd. We don't need it, if people want to go to Athens on 6 home games, they will check their fan cards, and call up. Just because they areN'T season ticket holders doesn't automatically mean they will be flogging the tickets on. Some people need to get a grip, there should be a level playing field for cup finals, and I support the club on this.

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Protesting is stupid, we should concentrate on the game Sunday and the Final in Athens most IMPORTANT

No, 5 credits on my fan card. Work commitments prevented me from going to any other CL games. Wsh I'd had the foresight to buy tickets and not attend matches, but that's life.Originally posted by DJS View PostHave you got a ticket for the final, by any chance?
Nothing can live up to Istanbul IMO so I'm content that I was fortunate enough to get to that game. Others deserve a chance to experience something similar so Ive no problem with not being there.Originally posted by Gordon Brown

I wasnt able to get to Istanbul, so i was desperate this time. I thought 6 credits would've been enough to ensure a ticket, otherwise i'd have bought Galatasary away. *sigh*
Live and learn. I just hope the upward turn in the team's fortunes will continue. After istanbul, i wasnt sure how many other opportunities i'd get.
Sincerely hoping Athens is another of many more to come.

I agree.Originally posted by Red_Al_77 View PostStupid idea to protest. Everyone is depressed but what would a protest solve.
From what i've read, those protesting seem to be of the opinion that if they cause enough of a ruckus, it may help to prevent what they see as being 'poor decision making' from happening in future instances.

It's not going to "magic" up a load of tickets though is it? What on earth did they expect the club to do?Originally posted by DJS View PostI agree.

I'd like to think that protest wouldn't be necessary for that to be the case.Originally posted by DJS View PostI agree.

I think the club should make a note of those with 6 credits who have missed out and if there is another ballot in the future it should be taken into account.
I'm not sure if that is feasible but I do feel sorry for people who've been to all the home games and missed out.
The only winners in all this are the agencies and the touts

Some people need to man up. The club got 17,000 tickets and did the best they could in the time available. Its not perfect, it never is. The fault as Sara says is with UEFA who gave a bigger allocation to themselves. Like I say we are all depressed but you take it on the chin and learn. Just don't make the same mistake again.

I meant for future seasons.Originally posted by Mumsafan View PostIt's not going to "magic" up a load of tickets though is it? What on earth did they expect the club to do?
They seem miffed that there'll be people who cant even go, would've got a ticket, due to the automatic nature of the ballot.
