these are the two i want as well. they're all fantastic. but at 30m possibly for both, then its a lot better than only 1 for that price. both can be legends, and while torres and villa are huge names and near guarantee goals where they play, these two for me are more likely to adapt to our game

        Agree.
In the dutch, german and french leagues you have to look at the players themselves, not just at their stats.
Kuyt was a superstar in the dutch league...now he is just a decent PL striker.

personally i think its time to break the bank on one or two players that will win us the league we need to buy proven players! id be pleased with "the hunter" or eto'o and then a top quality attacking winger!

As long as we get a winger too, in the mould of Alves, Ribery.
            That would be ideal

Indeed he does, think it equates to £27mill.

my first choice would be a partnership of huntelaar and tevez too, also completely agree that we need wingers to supply the strikers....then look out.

We can get him for less than that. Also, it's not an impossibility that Luis Garcia would be used as a makeweight in any deal for Torres.

I guess Tevez is capable of playing deeper like Rooney for United, however if we spend all our money on strikers I will be very disappointed. We need creativity, guile and goals from midfield.

What a load of over-inflated **** those prices are. None of them are "for sale" (officially). The Guardian have gone all Football Manager.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

                        True.

                        Superb grumpiness, Shaggy.
                        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I'm just saying that for example Owen,Klose and Toni would suit me.
There's plenty of goals there and options,Rafa loves his optiions plus if you blow all the cash on an Eto (For the price he's quoted here) and he gets injured or whatever, then it's all the eggs in ................

I'd love to see a Torres,Villa or Eto at Liverpool, been screaming out for a big name player for years, but for 30-40 million when some of the other guys on the list are available at a third of the price.

By the prices here I'd even take a Berbatov and Tevez for the same price as Villa alone FFS!!

Sean Dundee scored 54 goals in German football one season, remember him?

I wouldn't necessarily look at goals to games ratios for players who play abroad,it's not always or hardly ever a dead cert.

Klose and Tevez would be two superb purchases in my view.

Agreed Shaggy I've seen Berbatov priced between £10-£27 million depending on where you read it FFS! :whatever:
