it cant help but think it will be a shevchenko and not van nistlerooy for us.

Today's papers now saying that Tevez is being toutd around for £31m. Why do the numbers never stay the ame for 2 days.

Well I don't really know what to expect from Palacio in the future. He isn't as young as people make him out to look, he is already 25(possibly 24) but that's quite a bit for an "up and coming player". Palacio has superb technique, lightnight pace and very intelligent and irregular movement. But he is already mid 20's and I don't know how he'll fit into Europe when he eventually comes. He isn't the strongest around so I don't think he'll ever suite EPL, he may even struggle in la liga at certain clubs. Depending on how physical their style is. He has it good at Boca atm, so if he leaves it'll be quite some risk on his part. I wouldn't ever want him at Liverpool becuase it'd be risky business but i'd love to see him in Europe in the near future to see how he gets on.
It's quality to have someone who is knowledgable about South American leagues.

Normally all we have to go on is the dreaded You Tube clips!

What do you think about Aguero? How is he getting on at Athletico? I was that handball goal he scored from a corner, now that was beyond cheeky!

Keep an eye on Tim Vickery for the BBC:

There's a link there where you can listen again to the phone in,

excellent & essential listening for South American links to European clubs.

At the time I was a it annoyed at the negativity of the article but with hindsight I think we'd all have to agree he was spot on!

            Cheers for the links

Eto'o, Villa and Tevez to play behind them.

That would scare the **** out of the rest of the League and Europe

Cheers, not really that knowledgable yet. Just watch a little bit of Boca, River, Independiente, Estudiantes etc when I get the time and the occasional copa libertadores game.

Agüero from what I saw at Independiente was superb. I've seen a lot of him at Atleti and he's shown glimpses but hasn't been fantastic consistantly. He has struggled a little at times but I think he is adapting to Europe he is young. I think he'll be a big player in the future. He looks like a great lad and very dedicated. Yes!! that goal with his hand against Osasuna was very cheeky, he was wearing gloves when he scored it, the next time they played all of the Osasuna fans wore gloves to the game because they were outraged about it.

On topic about getting Tevez as a second striker, I'm getting less and less hopeful everyday. I'd love him here but I don't think it's happening anymore.

On Tevez - I saw that he was out recently until 3am on the pish (apparently with some of the Man U squad!). It may only have been a one off, but that type of behaviour is something Benitez is not fond of and you can bet your life he has checked up on him to see what his behaviour is like off the field. What about Alexandre Pato then? We seem to be linked heavily with him today. He seems very skilllful but also very lightweight.

Do you not think that some of our players also occasionally go out on the piss til 3am (and later)?!
