Yeah drives me mad this ****, Mikey could've left in a different manner nobody would've bllamed the lad for that, but the way he ran his contract down and kept saying he was staying and we are closer than ever to signing a new deal and all that bull while he was finding out Real's intentions.
It's not that he left but the manner in which he did it that has always bothered me.
I would've forgiven him that had he returned and forced Real to accept a low fee the way he did with us the club who gave him everything as opposed to the club who mainly used him as a subsitute and really didn't give a toss about him but yet he helped them to double their money on the deal.
Like I've said quite a few times now he's had his 2nd chance, every one deserves one he's had his and spurned it.

His agent may have a lot to answer for but he pays him so it's always his decision.

      Just one question though

Owen and Tevez for the price of Eto'o or Villa or Torres, which would you choose and dont let your heart rule your head.
Owen is a serious risk at 9 mill how many games has he played in the last 3 seasons and how many is he likely to play in the next 3.

If we sign Owen we are guaranteed he will be injured so we are aswell not sign him. Tevez/Crouch/Kuyt/Voronin/AN Other

You use words like media whore and let him rot in the toon for a season. You hate Owen, thats fair enough but that doesn't mean he's not the best player for us.

As for injuries, fair point but he'd have a full medical. If that shows anything up, then don't buy him. Eto'o was out injured for ages this season, ditto Henry. Are you saying we should let them have a full season playing before trying to buy them.

I want Owen back, not because of what he's done in the past but because of what I believe he will do for us in the future. I suggest you do the same.
actually fella, i dont hate owen, i hate hangovers Media whore bit harsh as he is only as bad as everyone else.
but eto-o has come back now and as far as am aware only had the 1 bad injury, henry again its only this season he played plenty last yr.

I dont want owen back as i really want a statement of intent by the yanks this summer and that statement should be 1 of the top 3 strikers from spain to buy an injury prone striker on a cut price basis is so david moores. everything coming out of anfield is saying we are playing with the big boys now, well lets start thinking grandoise and looking forward

Plain bollox mate, guarenteed to be injured, why's that.

Owens recent injuries have been plain bad luck. First a collision with robinson, then a knee injury when nobody was near him.

Thats fair enough. If you don't want Owen back because you feel there are better options out there, then i've got no problem with that.

I just get brassed off sometimes with posters who come out with spurious reason for not wanting him back when really its all about how he left us.
If people feel he shouldn't brought back because of things in the past, i'd disagree but its an honest opinion from them & we are all entitled to that.

You can also add that a big part of Owens injury problems was down to LFC. We left him without a physio for months when he was out injured with a bad hamstring injury and it's that hamstring that have caused a lot of problems.

The club didn't exactly treated him in the best possible way.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Not at all mate he is injury prone he was when was with us and has been since he's left in fact it's got worse.
A leopard doesn't change his spots if this was any other player we were thinking about signing with the same injury record would you be shouting to sign him **** no you wouldn't.

He was often played when unfit in the 2003-04 season because we were so god awful and he was the only person capable of scoring goals for us.
Dreams come true. Without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.

Speed players like Owen & Giggs are always going to be prone to hamstring injuries, it goes with the territory. we all know we need pace upfront and whoever we buy is always going to be more at risk from injury than say a player like kuyt or Crouch.

What's that got to do with **** all except that he is injury prone and therefore a risk.
I have also stated quite catergoically that I didn't like the way he left or the fact that he ****ed us off again last season.
It does not make sense he is not commited to Liverpool and does not have the right mentality also to be in Rafa's plans.

What do you mean, left him without a physio?

Owen was out injured at the end of the season and the physio left on holiday.
