I'll tell you what I actually DID with respect to Istanbul. I got a colleague to take on my responsibilities at work i exchange for one of their shifts at a later date because going to Istanbul meant so much to me.

Errmmm, well....he's still a quality goalscorer unless he's lost a lot through this latest string of injuries. Even an Owen who only plays about 25 games a season would make a big difference to us, and £9m is not the massive gamble it once was. That said there are better players out there, and I'm hardly a fan of Owen after he ****ed us over. Basically I'm not bothered, if he doesn't sign then who cares? If Rafa wants him and he comes back then I'd give him a clean slate, as opposed to the people who will instantly revere him or those who will begrudge his second chance with us. I just see all this as much ado about nothing really.
