True. The one in the semi was good too though. Chested down and smashed in off the post.

Have to agree the Charlton goal was unreal, also the flick around Staunton.

The flick around staunton was sublime as was the finish.

I just love the Charlton goal because it highlighted what Robbie was, a goalscoring genuis. I can't think of another player who would have even thought of that finish nevermind done it. Robbie was always looking first & foremost to score. He was a finisher of the very highest quality.

i enjoyed his 2 goals against Everton, when he pretended to snort the line.
Il always remeber his goal agains Brann Bragan in europe, when he flicked it over the defenders head then ran around and volleyed it into the net.

There has been so many great moments. Moments of pure genius. From those goals at OT, or the the hat-trick against arsenal, remeber that goal he got in the UEFA cup against Brann or someone when he flicked it over the defence and belted it past the keeper, the list goes on and on. he's my favourite player ever. then there was the funny moments such as the Graeme LeSaux incident and the line snorting against Everton.
He was one of greatest players we ever had and was a great personality who always seemed to have a lot of fun. He really connected with the fans unlike players like Michael Owen.
Il never forget when he re-signed, one of the giddiest days of my life.

When the team is released for the Milan game the first thing il look for is whether Robbie is in the squad.

              Today is a sad day.

i loved his goal in the uefa cup final- "boys own stuff"

2 against the mancs when he had blond hair. get in son

sniffing the line in front of the bluenoses

cruyyf turning staunton then passing into the far corner from 30 yards (with fade on it)

volley against villa in the fa cup. dropped back cause he knoew it would fall there then just stick in the top corner. easy

running down the touchline at woodison having scored for citeh smacking his own head

pulling down stevie's cross and rifling it past barthez for 2-0

that flick and volley againt my pai(sp?)

looking destroyed and virtually choking up at the leeds signing/unveiling

scoring a quick goal from a macca through ball then running over to him and checking an imginary watch

his goal against chelsea in the league cup when he'd been out for so long and not scored for 10 or so games. berger played him in. scuffed inside the near post. delighted

                the dockers t shirt

hattrick against the arse. **** off

the look on his face when he came on for the first time in the second coming

the slide in the goal net in the newcastle 4-3

4 and 5 fingers to the mancs when he was at citeh

the volley against birmingham and running to high five jamie redknapp not houllier

                we have been truly blessed

and coming off the bench to score the winner in athens

So many amazing memories to choose from, I couldn't possibly pick a favourite.

His every goal was a source of delight. There are all the obvious ones, all the great goals/moments already mentioned in this thread...but there are other, less-lauded ones too. The volley at West Ham. The goal against Villa when he flummoxed Stan Staunton. Brann Bergen, obv. The "no penalty" appeal after the challenge from Seaman , the volley at Leicester to complete his hat-trick, the 'Boys Own stuff' goal against Alaves, the free-kick against Wycombe....I could go on forever.

I doubt we'll ever see anyone like him again at Anfield.

I've a few if thats ok.

The turn he did about 30 yeards outside the box that left Steve Staubton flumxed.
He turned and out it through SS legs and scored a cracker against Villa.

The first time I saw him play live and he slipped on his arse as he finished from 20 yards against Aresenal,we went on to win 2-0 (Berger scored the other and Suker missed a late penalty)

The second time I saw him play live and he put Gary Neville on his arse to finish beautifully over Barthez (2-0 Gerrard with a the screamer too)

His Finishes against Man U when he had the "blonde hair do"

The day he left for Leeds and my cousin text me to tell me,I rang into work sick and spent all day watching SSN.

The smile on his face when he resigned for us,I think he was only slightly happier then me that day.

                          Some great memories there.

I also loved the time he scored at the Annie rd end against Chelsea in the League Cup. He hadn't scored for ages and the grin on his face when he celebrated was a joy to see.
