They've not said anything wrong or anything, but I'd kind of like the new owners to begin to lower their profile a bit personally.

They're in the media an awful lot aren't they. I hope they start to pull back a little once they settle in.

The one thing I genuinely liked about Moores' style was that he kept out of the spotlight. I hope the new owners start being more limited in how accessible they are to the press.

To be fair, we've needed to see them at first so we can know who they are. I'd say they've won us over now and its time to just get on with the job of helping to make us great, and letting the actions speak for themselves.

no i dont think so,id say maybe 4 or 5 times at the most,and thats including the press conference the day the deal was announced,thats not an awful lot.

but saying that,i think your right when saying we needed to see and hear from them and i do believe once this game is out of the way we wont see as much of them.

the club have to provide someone for interviews in the build up to the game,id prefer it to be anybody else than any of the team,and the next best people to be interviewed would be our new owners.

so id say its a conscious decision to keep the media attention off of the players and manager.

Fair do's it made me pretty much squeal like Ned Flanders getting purple drapes, but still, I reckon the approach to the media is the one area thing they should learn from Moores on.

I think it's been good that the new owners have came out and signalled their intentions but as red al has said the proof of the pudding will be in the eating.

I hope that they have the time of their life in Athens because if they do it should mean that we've won.

I did find it a bit OTT when they started flashing the cash in that interview. As some one else said, If it had been Abrhamovic that had done something similar we'd have been slating him.

On SSN, when asked how they intend to take Liverpool forward, George got a wad of $$$ and Euros out and stuck them in the pocket of his jacket 'I expect there'll be some of this.....' he said.

not at all,and thats one of the reasons im having a problem with people criticizing hicks and gillett.
it could be worse,we could have the glazers who seem absolutely emotionless.
for years we moaned about never knowing anything,if only the club told us this and that.
now we have owners who are as open as they possibly can be and who have given a few interviews since taking over(big deal)and people are still moaning.

It's their money lol! I think if anyone was going to try and minimise expenditure it would be them (who, by the way, are extremely experienced and savvy businessmen). I think the media tiself has been far more responsible for this 'money no object' **** that's coming out recently, if you actually look at quotations from the men themselvs they are far more along the lines of 'Rafa wil be given funds to compete this summer' or 'If the right player comes along then we will give Rafa the money to try and buy him'.

I think they have said all the right things thus far and I enjoy reading their comments.

That's a matter of contention. After all, LFC = Weetabix.

I love these guys,i can't remember the last time i felt so much optimism.

I'm optimistic for the short term. Today though isn't, I think, a day for voicing anxieties about the future.
