Can't agree with Zenden he was certainly one of the most crap but to be honest I never expected him to perform anyway.Originally posted by ARIMAN View PostDifficult, cause many have disappointed with their potential
Tossup between Bellamy and Zenden (special mention for Jerzy)
We all know what SG is capable of, but for whatever reason he wasn't able to play to his level. Let's hope a nice long rest will result in the real SG turning up next year.
Bellamy, I always knew he would struggle because, by his own admission, he's not used to playing for a team where the opposition plays nine behind the ball. He had to change his natural game and to be fair he hasn't done a good job at it. Like I say, I wasn't expecting much from him either. The Crushing Machine MKII

He is not a flair player and tends not to have "memorable" games. You check the stats on how often he wins back posession and you WILL be impressed. Second to none in the EPL.Originally posted by bazza76 View Post
your entitled to you opinion mate. His good performances for me, this season apart from Barca and the community shield havnt been that memorable. The Crushing Machine MKII

I hope you're right that Sissoko was just rusty after his injury SpeedyG, to me he just hasn't looked right at all since then. His distribution is terrible, and I worry teams are learning to exploit that.
Alonso, or Bellamy perhaps, I had such high hopes that he'd become an instant legend. Far too much was always expected of Gonzales who admittedly hasn't brought enough at all, but for me hasn't been as big a disappointment all season as the others I've mentioned.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

Don't you think SG played well below his level though. Admittedly, he did set the bar pretty high last season, but to be honest I can't see us winning the league if he plays like he did this season.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostI hope you're right that Sissoko was just rusty after his injury SpeedyG, to me he just hasn't looked right at all since then.

Anyway Looks like Speedy and Bellamy will be non-issues come next season. The Crushing Machine MKII

I would say only our defenders haven't underperformed so it's a tough question to ask.
Xabi and Stevie G have been below par, Gonzo was useless and never really adapted which shows how tough it is to adapt to the EPL.
Dirk Kuyt was supposed to be a goal scoring genius (20/20 man according to Jol) so needless to say I wasn't delighted with him.
But my choice is Sissoko. He has gone rapidly downhill since his injury and just looked terrible when he played. His passing has got worse if anything and I'm worried that his dodgy eye has not helped the cause. Teams have also finally realised his distribution is ****e and now target his poor ability.
From signing off the season and new Viera to not even getting a game as sub.Forwards.......

underperformer has to be stevie g.....like previously mentioned he has set the bar so high that this season has been dire. Pennant, zenden, bellamy havent underperformed as such as in my opinion they have always been that bad.
Alonso has performed in patches so ill leave him be but i have been largely disappointed with speedy and kuyt, both of whom i had high expectations.
So sorry stevie, its you in my opinion.

I've said it a 100 times, but no-one listens. I won't knock him because he is a center forward being asked to play as an attacking midfielder. Until Rafa plays him up top, we won't see the best of him.Originally posted by lfcruleus View PostI will never knock Dirk cos he does exactly what it says on the tin, hard worker gets a few and makes a few, noone who had ever seen him play said any different. Also he is grateful to be where he is and i love that. The Crushing Machine MKII

But he gives the bal straight back to the opposition, If sissoko could lean how to pass the ball he would be awesome, yes he is an awesome ball winner and a great physical presence in midfield, but I fear he will never have the bal playing ability of say Patrick Viera.Originally posted by SpeedyG View PostHe is not a flair player and tends not to have "memorable" games. 'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Bellamy is my first choice. I always thought he is not LFC material based on his goal tally of previous seasons but even by his standards he underperformed and tarnished the clubs reputation for what he did in that training camp incident with Riise.
My second choice would be Alonso. Could be knackered from the world cup but many other players were in the same boat. I think it's just loss of form as his class in permenant.
Lets not forget carrot head Riise who is proving to be another average Norwegian playing the RED of LFC.
He can not defend for a toffee, living on past glories & has no competition for his spot which means he can slack off knowing his spot is always guarenteed.18-5-7-8-3
