Better than we've got, but the best we can get at that price? I don't think so.

Who can we get at that price who is better? Rafa probably wants someone who can perform defensive duties as well. Not many available that fit the bill. Mancini? Too expensive. Puerta? Too much of a doubt. Can´t think of anyone else at the moment who is good enough...
              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Who's better though? I'll start with:

Giggs, Robben, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Joaquin, by this point I'm starting to struggle, but only Robben is possibly available and they wouldn't sell to us. Valencia would want there money back on Joaquin.

Then there are other players I'm not sure on:

                Ribbery: Stagnated this year.
Quaresma: Couldn't hack it in Spain, maybe he's improved?
Nani: Not at the top level yet, but he has the talent and potential according to most. Wouldn't take us to the next level.

                Who else is there?

Puerta: Is he Sevillas first choice?
Mancini: One good goal and suddenly he's our saviour?
                Forwards.......

Firstly, Joaquin is a RW, so he certainly wouldn't fit the bill.

To be honest, I'm not completely convinced by any of the 'available' wingers around at the moment, so I'm not really singling Malouda out here.

At that sort of price however, I'd prefer to have someone like Ribery or Quaresma though. Both are younger and have potential to kick on at Liverpool, whereas I'd wager that Malouda has found his level as a footballer and isn't going to improve beyond his current capabilities.

To be fair Riberey and Quaresma are best at RW, and are not LW. So it looks like Malouda is the best available LW. For the record I'm not convinced we need a LW anyway, but if we're getting one Malouda would be one of the better options and would improve our depth at the very least.

                      Yeah, perhaps.

There is always Simao as well, although I wouldn't really want him.

Some tough calls for Rafa this summer.

                        Another RW

Like you say, Rafa has got some tough calls coming up. For whats available I say Malouda fits the bill.

Simao is right footed...but he plays on the left mate.

                            He is better than Simao.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

He plays on the RW from what I remember, but can do a Ronaldo and switch to other flanks so he can score like the one against LFC. If he came to LFC it would be to play on the RW.

He plays on the left for Benfica regularly.
