Rafa has wanted players such as Mancini, Alves etc but had to settle for second choice.

The attacking players market is the most expensive one so to buy top quality you need to spend money Rafa has not previously had. Assumig we do have money now, this is the summer to judge Rafa's signings. And by summer I mean wait tilll 1st September and judge our squad and whether Man Poo will be quaking in their boots.

I laughed at the Carrick signing, and I still think he is sh*te.. but then Man U already have a few £30M signings in their squad. This summer was to be our year of getting in top quality, but we end up signing the usual middle of the range players. As I said, Rafa will live and fall by this after the uproar he has caused this past week.

Laughable comparison, let's not go into hindsight. I'd swap Crouch for Owen in a heartbeat... who has been able to replace Owen here since he left? We are still searching.. actually we are still searching MacManaman's replacement!
