£10m isn't that much money for Moores. He is good for over £300m. He could give LFC £10m and it wouldn't hurt him at all IMO.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Let's give the new owners a fair chance to prove themselves before we start worrying and/or panicking. They've only been in ownership for 5 bleedin' minutes.
I honestly don't understand all the dramaqueen's and scaremongerers throwing their toys out of the pram cos we haven't signed 8 of the worlds greatest players in the space of a couple of weeks cos the tabloids say we can now afford them :whatever: The season only finished a couple of weeks ago FFS!!! And as Coops said, the Spanish season is still running!!
BTW the above rant is not aimed at anyone in this thread - I just have a serious pain in me bollix with the general doom mongering going on

meet your brother Paul.
It's giving me a head acheBill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

If you were good for over £300k for example and your daughter will get married and the wedding will cost £10k, would you loan them the money or give them the money to pay for the wedding?
I took that example because everyone says that Moores made his decision because he loves the club to bits just like a father loves his daughter.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

I think Parry (and to less an extent Moores) chose the wrong guys, in one corner you have Gillette (who could not afford to buy the club by himself so he had to bring good old Hicks with him) and in the other corner you had DIC (backed by one of the richest man/families in the world).
They decided to choose the American duo (because they checked the finances quickly and Parry/Moores were looking out for the shareholders or in other words more money for their chums)
The American twosome has certainly talked the talked but i am yet to see them walk the walk (ok i know its early days), the reports about disagreements does not surprise me, especially when there is so much money involved, when has a partnership at the top level actually worked? we all remember the failed Houllier/Evans axis (another one of Moores/Parry's ingenious ideas). I will not be surprised to see further down the line one of them selling their share to the other.
Ok they are prioritising the building of a new stadium, history shows us you only sell out a stadium week in week out if you are successful with the bread and butter i.e. on the pitch, what use a brand spanking new stadium with a ****e team?
It's early days, i really want them to succeed and being the typical LFC fan that i am, i am full of optimism (this is our year you know!) lets wait and see how the new stadium looks and which players we sign before passing judgement. We come not to play.

i think that it is highly unlikely that our main stars in particular Gerrard would have re-signed if they were not happy with the direction of the club and incoming players"All I'll ever do is all I've ever done in any job, and that's promise to fight for my life for the supporters and the people of the city"

It's the way the Arabs do business. We've been dealing with some in Dubai, Morocco etc on some hotel purchases. They're on the phone to us every couple of hours. They want to know something is happening all the time. If you dont speak to them for a day or two they get twitchy and concerned something is wrong. From what I've seen, they work with a lot less patience than we do (and yet they did 2 months of due dilligence didn't they?).Originally posted by The Glove View PostYou also have to remember that Moores felt he was being pushed/bullied by DIC.
I don't really know exactly how that translated to this situation, but I can well imagine DIC got very twitchy once Gillett and Hicks came on to the scene and put a lot of pressure on Parry and Moores to get things moving very quickly and probably did set a tight deadline.
either way, I'd still like to know how convinced they were that the Gillett/Hicks deal was the right one for the club, or if they took it because it was the only one on the table.White liquid in a bottle = Milk
