But come on selling Garcia is nowherr near as bad as selling Robbie in 2001.
Robbie's on a different planet to Luis but yes i can see why some people are sad to see him go all the same and i respect that.

Either way, this is a very sad day. If the only way to get Torres was to let Luis go, then I'm not sure it was the right move.

I think we have to accept that Luis probably wanted to go (which is fair enough) and under those circumstances there's little else we could do (apart from getting a better fee than a lousy £4m).

Either way, I am sure Rafa has plans in place.

Love the little man, can't remember being so sad at a player's departure - Robbie's was a shock more than anything.
He was a fantastic player IN SPITE of his faults and like has aleady been mentioned he had a wonderful goalscoring record including some legendary goals.

Was he when we sold him? I can actually remember thinking to myself that we had pulled a fast one with the transfer fee, whereas in this case I think Atletico have bought an excellent player who will be fantastic for them playing in La Liga (which he is clearly more suited to).

I'm not saying that watcing Robbie leave was easy, but I can't say I have actually felt this sorry to see a player of ours leave in ages.

Good Luck Luis , he certainly was a player who got you off your seat ,to either praise him or scream at him , he will be remembered as a success ,thats always a great thing for a squad player, but remember he sucked (his thumb) big style !!
