I still expect Stevie to play through the pain barrier and a special protection casted on it.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostNo, I saw him on Sky the other day with his shoes and socks off, pointing at the broken toe. It was one of the middle ones, and it was minging. All curly and yellow.

I just hope Gerrard can play properly, it's not worth playing him if he's 70% or something, we paid the price badly for doing that with Carra in the Derby.

I agree regarding Gerrard. No point playing him if he's not playing at full pelt or even if there is the slightest chance that he may aggrevate the injury. If he does or doen't play, Rafa should pull him out of the England squad. I'd be sick if his injury worsened whilst playing for England.Originally posted by Chris View PostEssien will be playing.

so will this mean he will play the chavs game but then be out for say three weeks after that?“At a football club, there’s a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don’t come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques”. Bill Shankly
