The future for Riise is not rosy.Rafa must know we need a better left winger.I`d say it`s his last season with us.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostArbeloa looks a very, very shrewd buy for that price.
Rafa clearly doesn't trust Riise at left-back any more. Hallelujah.

i'm well aware of that, but how often has Rafa played him there in the last 2 seasons, not many, he needs time to adjust to playing a bit further forward and being a bit more adventurous with his footballOriginally posted by Ben Tover View PostGed bought him when he was a left winger at Monaco.

So Riise with chances? Any success? The chances to goals ratio must be really poor

was thinking that exact thing, Arbeloa has really been impressing me, he was a bit dodgy at the end of last season but has looked great so far this season, and especially with Aurelio nearly ready to come back, we're going to have a lot of capable left backsOriginally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostWe all know about Johnny Rocket so it's a pointless debate.
Though with Arbeloa really impressing do we need Heinze?

come off it the 'penalty' had very little if anything to do with Riise, it could have come from the left or right and it wouldn't have made a difference to stilesOriginally posted by Ben Tover View PostHow many chances did Riise have? What side did the 'penalty' come from?

How many chances did Riise have? What side did the 'penalty' come from?Originally posted by Morphorino View PostNo mate, i thought he played very well, Arbeloa had SWP in his pocket and didn't need too much defensive cover, and Riise beat Essien nearly every time he had the ball, but we didn't give the ball to him on the deck nearly enough times.
If you think otherwise then i think you were watching a different game.

Arbeloa was too exposed one on one against him. Going forward, the guy had opportunities and as always with his big head and bent shots, he missed. Surely he is waste on the teamsheet. Didn't anyone see Babel make somewhat of an impact?
