Mascherano really didn't need to say that I kind of despise him lately. Are you people serious? He says that Liverpool are favourites for the match and they are! Is Jose gonna put bookie dockets up on the walls too, to motivate them even further?

Even if he came out and said that Chelsea were complete and utter **** and that Liverpool were far superior, what would that do to their squad morale once we stuff them on Sunday? Not only would it have shown that we think we’re better, we would have proven it on the pitch also.

Because he is being interviewed about the forthcoming match. He is only saying what he thinks, ie Chelsea aren’t as strong as they used to be and that Liverpool are favourites. What’s wrong with that and how is it undignified?
