But once again this brings about the debate about having 7 subs or not. I dare say he'd have been in the prem squads for Villa and Chelsea just in case, if we were allowed 7 subs and if he had been then he would be feeling fine, even if he didn't get on.
I don't understand the whole matchday squad and number of subs thing, and particularly why the FA/PL can't bring it in line with UEFA

Guess i just dont rate him
Sure. I suppose we will just have to wait and see. It does seem to me to be a premature judgment though since we haven't really seen yet how well he'll fit into LFC's pattern of play, etc., no matter what one might think of his individual level of skill based on his efforts for his previous clubs and for Israel.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Id be pissed off as well, he isnt even making the bench, not very reassuring for a new player at the club and if i was the Crow i wouldnt be happy either. He's played very well and deserves at least one start in the league so far on form

          Shaul Adar - Wednesday August 22, 2007

Yossi Benayoun is already concerned about his lack of opportunities at Liverpool and "will think about moving to a medium-sized team" if the situation does not improve, according to his agent.

Liverpool have played only three competitive games this season but the Israel international is the second Liverpool player - after Peter Crouch - to complain about not being involved enough in Rafael Benítez's plans. Benayoun was left out of the squad for the Premier League games against Aston Villa and Chelsea but started and played 59 minutes in the Champions League qualifier against Toulouse last week.

"If Yossi won't be involved enough we will think of moving to a medium-sized team," Benayoun's agent, Ronen Katzav, said in a radio interview in Israel. "When we first met with Rafa Benítez, he asked for a lot of patience since there is a huge squad at Liverpool.

"We don't analyse each match. Yossi has patience and motivation and he will get his chance. When you are taking a decision to move to Liverpool, you are prepared for all possibilities and Yossi decided to follow his heart. The target was to try and integrate in the team and I'm sure he will play a lot. Naturally, Yossi wants to be in the squad and knows he has a lot of work to do but if he won't play for a long period we will think again."

The Israeli media has been stunned by Benayoun's omission from the Liverpool squads but Benítez has asked his players to be patient. "It's the same with Jermaine Pennant, Javier Mascherano, Yossi Benayoun, Sebastián Leto and Lucas Leiva," he said last week. "I can only use 11 [players] - and I cannot have more than 18 players in a squad for a European match unfortunately.

"Every player knows they have team-mates to consider. They're professionals and they need to be ready for each game. I'll always have the same answer."

I can see his point,He's twice the player Pennant will ever be and already has Prem league experience.I'd play him wide right and leave Jermaine at home.

Aye but would you rather have a lesser pool of players where the better ones could regularly make the bench and thus they're all happier or would you rather be spoilt for choice and acknowledge, that a few very good players at your disposal would not be able to make the bench? (Considering the fact that YOU are paying them 40k a week to do exactly what you want them to do, as you - the manager - ultimately decides the fate of the team as a whole).

Break with the game at 1-0,torres advances,Chelsea defence retreats at speed,Torres drops off in the box and creates acres of space, pennant rolls the ball across the box behind him and the chance goes a begging,Torres shakes head in disbelief.one of many examples of Jermaines ineptness.Benayoun may not be a world beater but when it comes to him or Pennant I'll take him.

Its agent talk. They want Yossi to play so he can gain money from appearance money.

'IF' being the operative word. I wouldn't expect anything else, unless it was SWP, Cuddicini or Solskjaer.
Any reasonably ambitious footballer will put football ahead of money, within reason.
Still after 2 games he should just keep his mouth shut.

Good call. I just think we should get over this whole shebang, it's creating negative vibes around the player who's had a whole hour on the pitch.

Give him til January, I tell you he will have 'changed his mind' (I doubt even a heavy involvement by the player himself, he might have even just said it to the Agent in private 'Eyup Jack, how's it? I fancy playing a bit more, bit miffed I am. I'm sure it'll sort itself out, I'm just a bit miffed, that's all'

And bam, he goes on radio representing his client and "what's best for him". Who knows? Who cares!

He'll soon become a fantastic player for us, of that I am sure.

Good build up play with the game at 1-0 the ball goes to Torres feet with his back to goal he lays it off into MF where no Liverpool player is.
                          Should we drop him to.

Exactly. It is still very early days and I'm sure it'll take a little bit of synchronising between the players and their movements, especially as Torres' runs are impeccable and full-on, so it'll take some time to adjust to his way of running/thinking. I'd presume...

Can I ask you this mate would you prefer to see a settled 11 for nearly every game in the EPL, I know I would.
I'd be happy with rotation as long as we're winning but I think most people would prefer to see the same team week in week out. A lot of supporters have stated that they wish he'd stop the rotation so much in the league.
I'm happy that it looks like Rafa has found his starting 11 for the moment the other players will just have to be happy with CL, Carling Cup, FA Cup and sub appearances as long as we're winning.

I`d be worried if Yossi had made these comments and not an eiijit agent.Pinch of salt.
