I hope these incidents serve notice to G&H and Rafa that we need another defender. It's good time for it to happen because we have a run of **** teams in the league, we're already beating Toulose AND the window is open.
We have to get someone in this week, if we don't then we're stuck until January.
It won't be Micah Richards, well it's highly improbable, but Chiellini is an option at 10 million. I think Rafa should go for it. When you think that we lost out on Heinze, it must mean Rafa is looking for someone.

Im sure he'll sign a defender now the question is will he go for an out in out LB or like Heinze a player that can play in both.

Maybe a high profile player(who is out of favour at their club, most probably in Spain)could come in for a month or two

Mertesacker or Chiellini would be my option. Samba has looked great for Blackburn, he almost wins everything in the air.

But you can keep a clean sheet with a solid defensive unit and putting men behind the ball. However, it takes special players to produce the magic when it's tight and not looking like you're going to score.

Think of it like a jigsaw - there's a small gap that needs filling.

It's simple really...... Rafa has said more than once that he wants 2 players for each position. We have 3 central defenders and NEED a fourth. Arbeloa is the SECOND RIGHT BACK. I worry that we will rue not having 4 centre backs and lose out on a golden oppurtunity to take our premiership challenge very close; and dare I say it, possibly win.
