It would seem to me the same sort of choice that Smmy Lee had to make a few years ago. Either try and fulfil personal ambitions or work at a more succesful club. In the end despite his emotional ties to us Sammy left for a new challenge. I think that when you are doing the job for real you might realise you can love the club from afar but you need to feel fulfilled on a daily basis.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostCrikey.
I know it's a job of more authority and power, but still I'm amazed Pako was prepared to leave LFC for Athletic Bilbao.
I guess that's the ardent Red in me as opposed to Pako's consumate pro."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Won't be happy if that is the case.Originally posted by Morphorino View Postnot normally one to resurrect dead threads, but just reading in bascombes article in the pink echo (didn't expect it as he hasn't written all week) that pako is staying living in England so it seems inevitable he's going to end up with a big English club
Must be on gardening leave.Like blood on iron

You do know you don't actually have to spend gardening leave in your garden, don't you?Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostWon't be happy if that is the case.
Must be on gardening leave..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Anyway, if the more scurrilous rumours are true, maybe he should be on hardening leave..

If he is staying then he probably has another deal already more or less done and dusted with Chelsea or Man U.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
