Because the standard response is normally along the lines of "I will go and have a word with them".

Which then results in about 4 or 5 people telling the 1 steward to f**k off.

Well that was my expierience all be it a long time ago.

I feel sick to my stomach reading that, the mindless idiots are one thing but very disappointed that the people sitting nearby didn't do anything about it

speak to the club's press officer/head steward and the club will in my opinion go a long way in getting her back as a guest for a game to restore the faith in her. These chavs that come out with stuff like that is a disgrace to the honest decent Pool fan!

its always going to happen though.

Unfortunately there are complete dickheads in this world.....you just have to ignore them, or if you can handle yourself give them a bit of a flogging.

Brilliant idea and the correct way forward, Im sure Finnan would say hello to the girl if approached. The lad who wrote the post should send it directly to Rick Parry.

                    good point.
i was asking this question cause a lot of people are quick to complain or voice their concerns in the anonymity of internet forums but don't dare to do anything in the real world. don't get me wrong, what happened to him and his cousin is horrible but unless you stand up against people like that you won't change anything ...

Swearing is one thing pacman, but abuse about a disability of a child is an absolute disgrace and should under no circumstances allowed to happen...

I am sure the club would do there best to resolve this if they were aware of the issue. todays society has far to many pricks and unfortunately a few of them are bound to be at anfield.

Oh I agree matey no doubt

All I'm saying is if he has been to 200 odd games he should realise that swearing goes on at football and if it upsets the child he should of thought twice about taking her.

I was sickened to read that.

However, in reality this is unfortunately the world we live in, both with the morons who shout and give the abuse and also the 'average' supporter who will not stand up to them and just ignore it. Most people these days just don't want the hassle and just sit there letting these tw@ts carry on and shout out abuse and use swear words all day long.

It is so sad. We need more individuals to stand up to abuse like this, but unless people do it in groups (which in turn would bring others on their side also) then the 'brave' few who WILL fight back suffer from doing the right thing.

Clubs must also take a stand here and sort it out, as they must surely know that just the one steward approaching these morons won't make any difference at all! It's time the clubs and the 'average fan' gets their own back on there 'thugs' and unless someone acts now these types of incidents will continue and grow over the coming years.
