Is Charles Itandje, Pegguy Arphexad in disguise ?

It looks like Charles Itandje is going to get a start tonight.

I must admit before he joined Liverpool, I'd never heard of Charles Itandje.

Does anyone know how good hes is ?

All I can remember about Pegguy is him running out with the ball in a Coca Cola cup match against Stoke (The one Liverpool won 7-0) getting tackled and the Stoke player then missing an open goal by hitting the post !

If he's wearing pyjama bottoms then we'll have the proof we need!

a bit irrelevant but saw a quote from him that said rafa is going to let him play the Carling cup and FA cup games, but I think most had guessed that already

This guy didn't inspire me with confidence when he was in goal tonight. Every cross that came into the box I was peeking through my fingers as I couldn't watch.

It felt like we had Traore in goal. Lets hope it was just debut nerves !

Well at least he didn't wear the pyjama legs.

without ever having heard of the fella, I KNEW as soon as I saw him he would flap at every cross coming into the box. signing him makes no sense whatsoever. He's never going to put pressure on Reina so Martin should be our number 2.

Blantant case of signing a foreigner just for the sake of it.

That really doesn't follow. Even allowing for his seeming weakness on crosses, maybe he's better than Martin at the moment.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

He was hard as nails in passenger 57 though. Also he even gave stallone a hiding in the demolition man.

Who would willingly want to be Reina's backup keeper?
The fella has to know he will only get a few games anyway.

I think it does. We need a back up keeper to play two or three games a season at most and we sign a foreign one that is **** at crosses and looks like he'll struggle with the more physical side of the english game as 80% of foreign keepers do. What hope is there for young keepers at english clubs when they can't even make the reserve or back up keeper position? If its experience we're after then go for a championship player as back up who knows the league & can come in without having to settle first. pisses me off immensley.

Or maybe Itandje is, overall, just better and, for whatever reason (which may include protecting him from throwing him in at the deep end), Rafa doesn't want to risk Martin.

Are you sure you're not just being a tad xenophobic?
