Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I think you're being a little sensitive here Neil.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostOr maybe Itandje is, overall, just better and, for whatever reason (which may include protecting him from throwing him in at the deep end), Rafa doesn't want to risk Martin.
Are you sure you're not just being a tad xenophobic?**** OFF HICKS AND GILLETT WE DON'T WANT YOU.

As for foreign keepers and English ones... I watched the highlights from all the games in the Championship last night. The level of goalkeeping was horrendous.
Not sure if most keepers were English or not, but they were probably mostly first choices at their club.--== Because the gang and the government is no different ==--

Am I?Originally posted by Pacman View PostI think you're being a little sensitive here Neil.
I thought Bob was moaning about foreigners taking "our jobs". He seems to have overlooked the obvious explanation for why Itandje was signed. I mean, Rafa may have got it wrong but I doubt he signs players just because he doesn't want an English goalkeeper as back-up.
I'm not angry about it at all but I do find his comments perplexing to say the least. I thought I was striking a conciliatory tone - I hope it doesn't come across harsher than intended..

For the artistic stance on medieval swordsmanship?

It had nothing to do with the fact that I once stumbled upon an episode of her having a bath with her blonde friend..

We are an English football club and I think we have a duty to give young English players a chance if they are good enough ahead of journey men foreigners. Having watched Intandje last night I didn't think he looked great but he wasn't awful either however I can't see how he is better than Martin. It's not a case of foreigners taking our jobs it's a case of preserving the English game and making sure our young English players get a chance to progress in the game.**** OFF HICKS AND GILLETT WE DON'T WANT YOU.

I remember me and my bird taking the kids to see thomas the tank engine live at the MEN arena in manchester. It was one big pile of ****e and the kids fell asleep in abar 5 minutes flat. Me tart was saying we should **** it off and go home. She was flabbergasted when I was telling her we may as well stay til the end.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostIn that case, I won't shake hands now in case you've already finished.

My reason for staying had NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with the fact that one of the thomas the tank engine dancer girls was positioned right in front of me, she was a honey, and kept bending over backwards in front of me with leggings so tight I could see the beef curtains through them.

Where is this bandwagon? Bob said something - I responded. The only person who has jumped in here is you.Originally posted by Pacman View PostI think people are too quick to jump on band wagons and take what people say out of context.

I'm not attacking Bob personally - as I think I made clear - but I reiterate that he has overlooked what I think is by far the most likely reason for the signing of Itandje, i.e. because he's better than Martin. Instead he stated that Rafa signed him because he's a foreigner. It's a ludicrous idea and I don't see where it comes from in footballing terms.
I suspect Rafa is far more interested in Liverpool winning the League than in promoting what's best for English football and to be honest so am I..
