    Welcome back lad.

**** the idiots who criticise you, it's not your fault you've had one injury after another.

Some people think that Harry when he is almost fit jumps off a cliff just so he won't need to play and and then pick up his wages doing nothing.

The doing nothing is very hard training to come back from injury after injury.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

So I ask again: wtf doesn't he put his Crazy Socceroo* career on hold?

Shame granted but its pointless thinking we are going to now get the Harry Kewell of old...it simply is not gonna happen.

Harry Kewell used to be a great player.

        Past tense.

He can still do a job and adds balance to the team when he plays on the left but he's not half the player he used to be. Even when he was last fit -2005/06 season he never produced much in terms of goals/assists.

If we are serious about winning the league we need a top class left winger and Kewell simply isn't good enough any more.

Anyone who expects him to come back from his latest injury and be our saviour is severely deluded.

I think this will be his last season in a Liverpool shirt unless he miraculously pulls out his best form, which hasn't been seen since 2003.
A humble guy with healthy desire.

Rafael Benitez today confirmed Harry Kewell is closing in on a return to full training at Melwood.
Kewell hasn't kicked a ball for the Reds this season after picking up an injury during the Asian Cup in the summer.

It was the latest in a series of injury setbacks for the Australian international, but Benitez is now hoping Kewell can prove his fitness and press for a place in the first team squad.

"He's been working really hard with the physios and next week he could be training or running with the rest of the first team," said the Liverpool manager.

"Harry is very important for us. A player with pace and ability who can score goals is always going to be important."

Despite splashing the cash in the summer to bring new wide midfielders to the club in Ryan Babel and Yossi Benayoun, Benitez insists Kewell still has a role to play at Anfield.

"It's clear he's someone with great quality and experience and we need these kind of players for the rest of the season," he said.

Meanwhile, Benitez is keeping his fingers crossed that Fernando Torres doesn't aggravate an ankle knock when playing for Spain this weekend.

The Liverpool striker was restricted to just a light training session with his international team-mates earlier in the week, but he's expected to figure in Spain's crucial clash with Denmark on Saturday.

"It's a risk but I know he wants to play because they have such an important game," said Benitez.
