I`m not happy with our manager or players,i just don`t feel the need to CONTINUOSLY moan about it on an internet forum but i do respect your right to do so if it helps you.
My point was that arguing with you is a complete waste of time because you`ll just move the goalposts when it suits you.

Chill out and don`t get you knickers in a twist mate.

Part time fans don't travel to the far side of Europe to support a team.

If a team needs people to cheer loud for it to win it is not good enough. Sunday league teams somehow manage to win without support.

Villa 2-1. Lucky to get 3 points. Draw would have been a fair result.
Chelsea 1-1. Our best performance so far. Deserved the win.
Sunderland 2-0. Struggled against them. Sunderland wasted their chances and Liverpool eventually got the win.
Derby 6-0. Wow. We beat them 6-0.
Portsmouth 0-0. We didn't deserve the draw. Portsmouth created more and had more desire to win. Lucky point for us.
Porto 1-1. A desperate performance. Lucky to get anything from the game. The red card created a smoke screen for this poor performance.
Birmingham 0-0. Another game where we were lucky to get a point.
Wigan 1-0. A narrow escape thanks to a late Benayoun goal.
Spurs 2-2. We were blessed to even get a point from this one.
Everton 2-1. The less said the better. Two penos needed to get something out of this. Performance did not deserve three points.
Besiktas 2-1. They played the better football, created the most CLEAR chances, had a bigger desire to win. Liverpool deserved nothing out of this game.
You forgot Marseille forgot to mention that we are still unbeaten in the PL despite our luck.

have you ever thought there might be more than one type of fan?

there's the people the support the team no matter what

there's the people who are mainly positive but will critisise when need be

and there's people like you and your bumpal anfieldanfield who support the team as much as anyone else just constantly negatively

all are perfectly valid and can exist happily

I was, and still am, majorly pissed off with the result.
I had some proper rants last night.
I don't feel I have to justify that to anyone.
I was still supporting the team in the dying minutes, believing we could do it.
I will still support LFC till my last breath.

                  Brum robbed us.
We dominated them but couldn't buy a goal.
This is the only league game were I am genuinly dissappointed with the result.

Any fans that were at the match last night were proper fans, thats one thing I know, Besiktas is not the best places to go for away supporters. Credit to the Besiktas fans though.
Easier said that done trying to get the whole of Anfield singing and hoping up and down like that at Anfield, we are dealing with a different football fan culture here, at Anfield we have families, fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, even Granny and Grandad. Where as with the Besiktas fans, its predominantly young Turkish lads, many of whom have no job. Kind reminds me of the sort of crowd that would have been sitting in the Kop through the Shankly Era, the similarities can be easily made.
When we are playing dejective stuff at Anfield, it can be hard to sing, I like to think I do atleast try my best, or sing when the rest are singing everytime I am at Anfield. In an ideal world, I would love the rest to sing all the time. but that is never going to be unless it is a really big night. Ala the clip you posted above.
Despite all the negativity, I am still optimistic, I think if we had say Torres available last night, we would have won that game. Plenty left to play for. unbeaten in the league, not out of the Champions League yet.

Been going anfield for years and the place is full off moaners always has been and always will be, in fact stopped going in the kop as that seemed to be the worst place and not every game was noise all the way through. So all this isnt exactly new seems to be more and more extremes these days weather it be expectation or knee jerk reactions to results.

Maybe our supporters or fan base is becomming more and more glorry hunters.
I was born to support Liverpool its in my genes. but how many kids now pick a top 4 club when they are at school. Is the frustration down to thier choice.

All these calls to get atmosphere back at Anfield how many of these people go to the match?
I like to sing i like to chant i go there every week. But i'm not a song starter but if someone next to me sings i will join in. but sometimes i get engrossed in the match and go quiet and with expectation comes tension which turns into silence.

end of the day its down to the players to get the crowd going.

but as RS4 says its up to us to support the players though good times and bad, not turn on them on the 1st bad pass.

I remember Spud getting a sarcastic applause when substituted against Southampton then scoring the winner against the scum.
People pay 32 quid to react like that - maybe panto season needs to be extended.
I don't understand the moaners as its counter productive.

The only way to get rid of these part time supporters is to be playing in the 3rd division then we'd have the full time supporters and probably more moaners of the good old days.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

This is aimed at no one in particular, but some supporters have permanently got rose tinted specs on. If you think a player was ****, then you should be allowed to say he played ****, without being called a part timer or a glory hunter. The same goes for the manager.

Nobody is above criticism, in the eyes of some the manager and the team can do no wrong. Bollox to that, I know the injuries have hit us hard but I think we could be in major trouble if things don't change soon.

I also care enough to be ****ed off when things are poor. For me, a supporter cares too. I saw people yesterday saying they werent bothered about the defeat and didnt care about it. THOSE are the ones who arent 'real' supporters.

Look Rafa has got a get out of jail card from the owners for this season. They've gone on record as saying the league might be beyond us this year and I think that deep down inside we know that this is not a title winning squad yet. Most people on the site have said at some point that we need a decent winger, another centre half, and another top shelf striker.Hopefully he will get supported again for another Torres like buy either in Jan or next season. Crouch should get a decent run in the team or he should leave on his own accord cos he's being wasted at the moment. Hyppia's 34 for gods sake-well past it now-what do we expect. Pennant is not world class, too early to tell with Babel but i reckon he'll come good. Man U and Arse have had the resource advantage over us for years. Could we have ever paid 12 million for a Walcott in the last few seasons? No. The money to pay for Kuyt was loaned to the club by Moores! Fact is you need big $$ to compete now and big $$ need to be spent over a sustained period a la Chelsea, Man U, an Arse. I dont think we are to far away. If results keep going the way they have benn the club should think about intervening and insisting that a numer 2 be found. A strong willed stubborn manager like Benitez needs one otherwise we could start going backwards.
"I watched the Champions League quarter-finals and the way they crushed Arsenal. Only the greatest and the best can play such a match.
