Alonso out again 6 weeks or more

If you look at Arsenal, Man U and Chelsea then you will see that they have a starting XI without any real weakness when everyone is fit. That's what Rafa should aim to get and then after he got that, then is the time to sign buck up players.

Rafa now have some stars and some players that really shouldn't be more than backup players in what would be our best starting XI.

So when one of our star players get injured then you will notice it more than if the same happened to a star player for the other top teams.

Agree totally. Still I got sick of hearing a few weeks ago how we now had cover in all positions. The absences of XA and DA now prove this line of thought to be total bollocks.

Some would have you believe this, i think that statement is pile of crap personally and he was one of the best players on the pitch, his passing was a little off but he hasn't played for about 5 weeks so what do you expect

Xabi`s performance before his injury was nothing special.Lucas will now have a prolonged start in the team.A positive if ever there was one.

Didn't Rafa say this injury is not as bad as the original injury? Either way, I hope he's back ASAP. He is a huge loss, showed us what we're missing.

and thats the misconception, wether you think he was up to standard or not we were winning when he was in the team, since he's been out we've been poor, he came back today and we were handling arsenal for 60/70 mins, he went off and that was when we lost the grip we had.

What did you think of the game today Scott

A draw was a fair reult, mate. We had a few good chances to kill them off and even after they equalised we could have won it had Stevie's burts into the box and shot on goal not been so brilliantly blocked by the Arsenal defender.

They had chances aswell that could have won it for them. I thought their passing was better but we moe than matched them for effort.

All in all I thought a draw was a fair result. We need to learn to stop getting deeper and deeper though in the last 15 minutes.

We also need to try and kill teams off when we go 1 up and still play attacking football and not go into our shell like we did today.
