I was merely pointing out why people may get offended by someone calling him ****e or whatever but to be fair it will be lost on you as you clearly don't think there's anything wrong in slating current players in this manner. My personal opinion of him is that he's not technically good enough to play at the pace of the premier league in the position he's asked to do so by Rafa, his first touch is just not good enough. However he is far better than Voronin IMO and shouldn't be the first striker shown the door in the summer.

I would never slate a player like that at the game.Originally posted by StevieG08 View PostI was merely pointing out why people may get offended by someone calling him ****e or whatever but to be fair it will be lost on you as you clearly don't think there's anything wrong in slating current players in this manner. You tell me, what am I supposed to say? Is rubbish considered too strong now?
Smells of someone going around looking to be offended.

Sorry mate but I've never seen ANYONE on here dish out "personal abuse" to Kuyt. I don't rate him but as I've said countless times, I actually like him. He seems a great bloke, wears the shirt with genuine pride and seems to understand the Liverpool way of doing things.Originally posted by StevieG08 View PostPlaying devils advocate here, i think what ronniedrew is saying has a valid point. It's not so much the fact that people accuse Kuyt of being not good enough but the level of personal abuse is way over the top. I would like to draw to people's attention the fact that Kuyt does an incredible amount of work for charity, he donates almost all of the money he earns from sponsorship deals to orphanages and projects for deprived children living in run down areas in Holland and elsewhere. He has lost his Father only a short time ago, who he was very close too, if people remember he delayed his move to English football when his Dad was first in Hospital. I feel that perhaps Dirk deserves to be cut some slack and certainly doesn't deserve to be called **** etc.
Unfortunately I don't think he's very good.
People on here criticising his football does not constitute personal abuse in my opinion. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

The bad thing is that the only striker that have been worth his money from Rafa's signings is Torres but that probably have more to do with money than that Rafa isn't any good signing strikers.
Babel may be worth his money, there is a big chance that he will be, but the rest of Rafa's striker signings hasn't delivered.
Everyone knows that Kuyt isn't good enough and that he should be sold sooner rather than later but everyone also probably know that Rafa will sell him when the money allows him to do it.
Rafa don't keep players that isn't good enough. If you don't deliver, then you are off.
There is no point to moan at Kuyt anymore or the other players that isn't good enough because Rafa will sort that out when the money allows him to do it.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I'm not trying to tell you what you should say or how you should say it, that was the point of my first post. I was saying why people may find what you say offensive, the same way they found what you said about Cisse offensive etc etc. I guess it's that whole support the team argument again, as people are quick to point out on here. Personally i couldn't give two ****s what people say as, at the end of the day this is a public discussion forum and serves that exact purpose.Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostI would never slate a player like that at the game.

I'm not going to get drawn into this, as it wasn't even my argument to start with. I disagree with what you're saying about the abuse thing and a quick look over the first 3-4 pages of this thread would tell a slightly differant story. There have been over the past months a number of posts which have been of the type which could be considered personal or abusive but as i've said it doesn't bother me, all i was doing was backing up what another poster was saying.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostSorry mate but I've never seen ANYONE on here dish out "personal abuse" to Kuyt. the other poster was moi, and i found it personally abusive towards kuyt, and is why i obviously took offence to it.Originally posted by StevieG08 View PostI'm not going to get drawn into this, as it wasn't even my argument to start with. and from what other posters say its obvious the charliema has a bit of a personal vendetta againts kuyt when there are others who should be out the door long before him, and is why i find the abuse/critcism unfair.

Kuyt's not nearly good enough, we should get rid = criticism.
He's ****ing ****, let's hope someone's thick enough to take him etc = deriding him, needlessly making him a laughing stock.
Is the latter really necessary for any of our players? I don't understand why people do it really, is it to be all 'ooh look at me I'm ****ing hardcore' or what? Unless you actually don't like the guy, wouldn't you want to show him some basic level of respect? Because at the end of the day there is a way of criticising without being disrespectful, and that's the way it should be with a player unless they've done something to lose the basic respect you afford people.
I mean, ffs, the way some people go on about our own players, where's there left to go from that when asked to rate players we don't actually respect like Dot Cotton?Like blood on iron

Sorry mate. I don't see it that way.Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostHe's ****ing ****, let's hope someone's thick enough to take him etc = deriding him, needlessly making him a laughing stock.
Admittedly that's putting it bluntly, but it's the truth, and sometimes it's hard to hear.
And trust me nobody's laughing when he performs poorly. Comments similar to the one above are in frustration rather than being vindictive.I hate Polanski
