Sure we would all love him to go out every game and score plenty of goals but i cant see it happening at this stage he's been woeful.

At the end of the day we should all support Liverpool player and im sure we all want him to score goals but its just not going to happen

Being a liverpool fan however, I will support the **** out of him every time he pulls the red Jersey on because he tries his best and he really isnt as bad as is made out and you never know, if you support him, he may come through this **** spell and become the player he can be/has been in the past. Doubtful as that may seem. Come on dirk lad, im right behind ya

Dirk Kuyt believes he is ready to ease the load on Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres in front of goal.

Torres struck his 17th goal of the season on Saturday as Liverpool came away from the Riverside with a fourth successive draw.

Gerrard, meanwhile, has 12 goals to his name this season, five more than Kuyt in all competitions.

The Dutchman admits seeing the likes of Everton, Aston Villa and Manchester City level on points with the Reds has brought home the need to start sharing the goals burden around.

Kuyt said: "We have a lot of quality players in this side and they have to do more. Fernando and Stevie both have a chance to be footballer of the year, they've done really good things this year for Liverpool.

"But when you play for Liverpool you know you're under pressure and they have shown they can come up with the goals even when they're under pressure.

"That's what we all need to do."

Kuyt, a second-half substitute against Middlesbrough, hasn't scored in the league since Newcastle on November 24 - a goal that was his only league goal from open play this season.

He added: "I'm struggling a bit at the moment, but I feel confident and I feel things are coming back.

"It's just a matter of time, I hope. I've got a good feeling that we can do great things for the rest of the season.

"We have the quality and we have to show it but at Middlesbrough we didn't do it once again.

"It's definitely two points lost. Liverpool have more quality than Middlesbrough. It's up to us to show it on the pitch, but we didn't show it in the first half.

"The second half was better and we could even have won it, but it would have been too much for this game."

Just watched a youtube tribue to Kuyt when he was in Holland. **** me the defenders must have been ****e!!!!

Joke. Showed some class touches, got himself into good positions and looked a great predator. He just hasn't been given the chance to play that penalty box striker with someone half decent alongside him playing the support striker.

On the first point, the defending in Holland is pretty poor. Whenever I see youtube videos, or the odd match on the telly, it's at a level way below that of the Premiership.

I would agree with your second point as Kuyt and Crouch were an effective partnership. The only two games we lost when they started last season were the FA Cup match (dodgy goalkeeping partly to blame) and Arsenal away, which saw us fielding both Zenden and Gonzalez in the midfield - hardly a recipe for success. It wasn't exactly King Kenny and Rushie but Kuyt fed off Crouch well and also provided some goals for the big man. However with Fowler, Bellamy, Voronin, Torres or on his own he just has to do things that he's incapable of doing and it leads to a lack of production.

It's the same with Crouchy really, people accuse us of hoofing it to him or him not playing well but largely that is down to how the team is setup around him than anything of his own doing.

Like 'Hot Carl', I'm slightly sick of hearing him waffling on about how he's "nearly there". All mouth, no trousers. Oh and no goals either.

I know his confidence is probably at rock bottom and he needs lifting, somehow, but I just think he's too far gone now.

Enough is ****ing enough now, Crouch might not be a world beater but ffs even he is better than Kuyt. He should have put the game to bed when it was 1-0 from Gerrard's pass but no. Please Rafa, enough is enough!

His pass wasn't the best actually for the goal but Yossi's determination turned into an assist. Also Villa's 2nd goal was a complete freak, who's to blame for it? Ok the first one was bad defending, but the 2nd was just our usual ****ty luck.
