Kuyt improved last night when Gerrard played down the middle and Crouch joined him up front.
The supply was non-existent yesterday so Kuyt hardly saw the ball but in the 2nd half he was in the right place to get his chances. I have no doubt he will score more goals if he continues to keep his head up. Confidence is a very big factor in every strikers mind(or any other player for that matter).

Kuyt is not as bad as people make out and I personally hope he can ram some of the words down peoples throats over the coming weeks.

We miss Torres but I think the pair of them can form a very effective partnership. Give Kuyt a chance FFS this is only his second season at the club

That's the problem, Kuyt is this years scapegoat no matter how he plays.

What he has shown is that he is torres`s best partner. They click together perfectly. Hes struggling with poor form at the moment but so are most of the side. There are signs of it improving though throughout the team, we will be firing on all cylinders again soon

In the interests of fairness, given that I'm always on Kuyt's case, this much is true. He's dovetailed really well with Torres and they have a good understanding. They're on the same wavelength.

I will say though that the Crouch/Torres partnership, something I think could be so good, hasn't been given a chance at all. One game unless I'm mistaken - Reading away in the ****ing League Cup.

That is true Shaggy but if you look over the season barring a good half hour against Arsenal, Crouch has looked ****e the majority of the time including preseason. People are having a go at Kuyt but on the few occasions Crouch has played he has received the same level of abuse.

I actually think a spell in the reserves may help Kuyt find his cofidence. No goals from open play is very poor no matter how badly he's playing/lack of confidence

name another player who works as hard for the team as kyut....he covers as much ground as gerard, he defends from the front and he will come good again.

he is good enough for us at the moment because what alternative is there? torres up top on his own wont work, voronin is same type of player as kyut but not as good and crouch is ****!!

if torres/kyut partnership ends up torres scoring all goals and kyut supplying most of them i would accept that...as long as we are succesful trophy wise!
