we wouldn't miss kuyt, voronin or even crouch. 20 million right there. buy any one of keane, anelka or aguero and we have quality over quantity

For me Kuyt doesn't offer a goal threat or have a big effect on the game, he works hard but his touch, technique, and finishing are poor. I really don't see why he keeps getting picked, I know a number of people don't think Crouch is of Liverpool standard, but the fact is he offers more in the final third that Kuyt and at the moment he's the best option we've got as a partner for Torres, his height worries defenders and his presence in the box creates space for others and he's got decent touch and technique and his goalscoring record isn't bad

No one of our other strikers are good enough but Crouch are our best option right now if Rafa want to play with two strikers.

I would give Nemeth a chance against Chelsea in the CC or against Luton in the FA Cup. Maybe we already have the striker we need to partner Torres.

It wasnt his best game yesterday but then what attacking player can say they did play well? Still think him and Torres are the best partnership we have up front and one dodgy game wont change my mind on it. Would be great to see a world class partner for Torres but until then Kuyt is able to do a job for us.

I have to agree with AFII on this one. I think Aguero has the potential to be one of the best in the world. But he will have to be used like Babel. I would have him over Huntelaar despite his sublime scoring record. Simple reason, Aguero has pace and creativity.

We as a team are devoid of pace and technique in our attack and I think Aguero will improve us more than Huntelaar would.

Let's get it right.

Aguero is strong and will get stronger but there is nothing he can do about his diminutive frame which, like others before him, would put him at a disadvantage that he would have to overcome to become a success in English football.

Zola was short AND had a small frame, he was a OK player wasn't he ...........

I really don't know anything about Aguero, but I agree with the title of the thread Kuyt is NOT the way forward. He's 27 years old and should be in the prime of his career but doesn't show any attributes apart from that of hard work and graft ............... not good enough IMO.

Most of it I think has to do with attitude. Look at Heskey. If he had King Luis attitude he would still be playing for us alongside Torres.

Your more that likely right, but unless we buy an establsih mature quality player any young player like Aguero will be in the same developmental boat as Babel so might as well prepare him for next season as it seems like Rafa is doing with him now.

Bring back Baros (at least he was 3 million), bring back Heskey, bring back Bellamy, bring back Owen on a strethcer, bring back Rush at 45 years old .................

Benayoun cost 6 million and he is twice creative and twice skillful and much more intelligent.

Why do you need someone to blame? Fact is, Kuyt plays for us. Nothing is going to change that for the forseeable so try and focus on what he does rather than what he doesnt. He has just won 2nd in the player of 2007 awards so he must be doing something you cant see.
