torres scored a goal that kuyt could only dream of. torres has scored 15 goals in what 20 odd appearances. Kuyt is neither a goalscorer nor a second striker goalmaker. he'll be gone by next season.

Torres was not '****in diabolical' i'd use that to describe voronin.

Means nothing. He is a passenger. I wish him well but I think those wishes will be carried with him down the road toBolton or Wigan.

'Passenger' is rubbish cos the one thing he does do is run his arse off and chase the ball/defenders down. If you want a passenger look at what Cisse was like 90% of the time.

However, I'm starting to think our most potent combo up front would probably be Torres with one of Benayoun or Babel, the others are all toothless (although Crouchy on form is worth a shout)

Which is exactly right. I dont think Kuyt will be here next season but right now we have no other choice but to play him. Voronin, well all he does is kick the ball out just now and Crouch is suspended but he was hardly playing Torres off the park so like it or not Kuyt is going to play. He fustrates the **** out of me but there is no cause to slate him, especially today.

I would not be too sure of that unless you have some inside info in which case I will retract my statements.

I cannot see Rafa selling all three of Crouch, Voronin and Kuyt in a space of 6 months. I think Crouch is a goner and depending on the offers made I think Voronin will also leave. If we bring in a world class striker like David Villa I can see Kuyt and Babel fighting it out for the third strikers spot.

If he gets his confidence back he will prove to be a more than useful third striker. He had a pretty decent first season where he was our most effective attacker in many games till around March.

Problem is that this season we are watching one of the top 5 attacking players in the planet heading our attack. Torres presence has added a whole new dimension to our attack and our approach play. We have become more technical in our play and some of our non technical players are getting found out. I think deep inside their hearts they know they are not good enough and this is being reflected in some of their performance - Riisse, Crouch, Kuyt, Voronin,Momo. Our general playing style has improved so much that people have even started noticing and complaining about how much Carra hoofs.

I don't think we'll sign an attacker in January. It is becoming obvious that Babel is really an attacker, not a left wing. As such we have one too many up front. If we sell Crouchie then Babel should take his place. We won't sell Kuyt. Half the people on here criticising would be squealing for Rafa to sign him if he was still at Feyenoord. I think the record when Kuyt and Torres start is very relevant. I also think Babel can credit a few of his goals to Dirk.

In all competitions, they've started together in 10 games, and all three of our games against the title contenders. No other pairing has started anywhere near as much. The overall record is somewhat warped by the games against the big 3, but our most impressive league performances have all come when they have started imo.

I for one would love to see Mr. anelka back to partner Torres. The word "Explosive" springs to mind. On and "lethal".

Spot on mate. Anelka would be great up there with Torres, and he'd also be a great alternative to Torres when El Nino needs a rest.

Anelka can play upfront on his own, or as part of an attacking front 2 or 3.

Damn straight. Both have skill, strength, great technique, electric pace and both are match-winners.

No idea how much he'd cost, but even if he was avail at a decent price, I really dont see G&H giving Rafa the £££, especially in the Jan window.
