I'm not saying that Berbatov isn't of the required quality just saying that you'll bang on about one player and signing him being the route of ending all problems like it's fact. A little while ago it was Aguero which you said was "very possible" which was complete bull****. Please don't give me the whole Rafa rating him thing again, it gets tiring. Anyway, now that his release clause has been raised suddenly it's Berbatov this that and the other. If he signs elsewhere or signs a new contract or whatever which player that we obviously aren't going to make a bid for who we're completely outpriced for etc are you going to start saying that we have to sign, it's ridiculous. This is football not hoping for every second a player is going to be signed. And anyway, even if the player was signed as soon as we didn't win a game you'd be giving other player names which we would be "needing" to sign to improve. Give it a break, we need to look at what we've got which is more important than what we may potentially and unrealistically have.

Spurs release a statement 30 minutes ago sayiong that they are not a selling club and nobody will be leaving in January.Originally posted by DJS View PostI think he'd compliment Torres well and if he's going for £20m, i'd love to see us sign him.
Wont happen mind. He'll go to the mancs.

Babel's still easing his way in and that can show. But he still has the raw materials to make him a far better option up front than Kuyt will ever be.Originally posted by AFII View PostThat's fair but so far he hasn't been that good when he play from the start.
I have already said that Nemeth should get a chance, he can't be any worse finisher than Voronin or Kuyt and we need a more clinical striker upfront together with Torres, so the opposition can't only concentrate to mark Torres out of the game.

If you look at my posts then you will discover that I used Berbatov as an EXAMPLE.Originally posted by Zapater View PostI'm not saying that Berbatov isn't of the required quality just saying that you'll bang on about one player and signing him being the route of ending all problems like it's fact. It usually works very well and then a misunderstanding like this won't happen.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Do you never ask yourself why your always in the minority in these arguements.Originally posted by DJS View PostHow many times do i need to say this? Yes, Torres missed chances but every striker does and when they score the goals Torres does, it's forgivable.
In Kuyt's case, there's little you can find to balance out all the negatives.
I swear I think you relish a fight!!!!!

It aint ****ing rocket science.
**** off syd thats a cop out. torres should of won us the game today. regardless of what he has done in the past."People from Liverpool have got something about them and, if they’re not happy about something, they let people know.”

Sorry, I was under the impression we were discussing why we didn't win todays game.Originally posted by DJS View PostHow many times do i need to say this? Yes, Torres missed chances but every striker does and when they score the goals Torres does, it's forgivable.

Like I say, we battered them nil nil. EVen with our two star players below par we still battered them.
Play this way every week and we'll look a bloody good side.
And no, I wouldn't play Kuyt, but he's not THE reason we didn't win.
You may be less forgiving of him for missing his chance than Torres but that's another discussion.

I did read everything i just find it a little funny how he can be mentioned repetitively so many times.Originally posted by AFII View PostIf you look at my posts then you will discover that I used Berbatov as an EXAMPLE.

From this thread alone:
If Spurs want £20m for Berbatov then G&H should back Rafa if he want him of course before one of our rivals sign him and get even stronger.
hmm no example
"Do you think we would only got a point with Berbatov upfront instead of Kuyt?"
"Berbatov for example..."
First time using the word example and that makes no difference to me it's still you repetitively creaming over one player.
"If we had spent £20m on Berbatov for example then we would have had a bigger chance..."
etc etc, can't be ****ed going on just saying your explanations for being a fan boy of your flavour of the week is ridiculous.

Just want to point out that Kuyt wasn't the only reason that we didn't win today but it's getting boring to see us dominate games like this and more or less know that we won't score.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

There IS a burden of responsibility on the other striker too. How often does Kuyt live upto it?
oh forgive me syd, i thought this was the ****ing man city post match thread and not the kuyt is a cunt thread."People from Liverpool have got something about them and, if they’re not happy about something, they let people know.”

I'm far from as big a critic of Kuyt as DJS but to a large extent I agree with him here. The fact is that Torres deserves some stick for missing chances but in the bigger picture he does contribute enough, whereas in terms of goals the rest of the attacking quartet don't.Originally posted by Revo View Post**** off syd thats a cop out. torres should of won us the game today. regardless of what he has done in the past.
While I think Kuyt is a valuable squad option we need another forward who scores goals and frightens the opposition (and Rafa has faith in). In the long term it is that fact that Kuyt (as well as the two wide players) don't score enough that holds us back as a team. Especially in tight games have multiple threats is not only good of its self but opens up room for the likes of Torres.
At this point Kuyt needs a Hleb like transformation after a couple of seasons to deserve a regular first team position or we need to buy a pair of Ronaldos for the wings."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

personally i thought kuyt had a good game today. His movement was excellent, his workrate was excellent, his skill level was poor [above usual], but overall he was pretty effective. Unfortunately, the way we play is to maximise Torres finishing power, which was non-existent today.
Remember in school the old adage - get stuck in to their forward early on and he'll **** it for the rest of the match - seemed to work for Richards today'Of course I didn't take my wife to see Rochdale as an anniversary present.
It was her birthday.
Would I have got married during the football season ?
Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves.'

look mate, this thread descended into another **** fest about kuyt. whether kuyt is good enough or not good enough is another thread of its own. this thread was about post match man city. the same ****ers including myself have now hijacked any ****ing positive discussion we could have about our teams performance. how about arbola stepping up to the plate today and the welcome return to form for aurellio? what a difference agger may have been today bringing the ball forward? how good was didi ? elano who? petrov is ****ing scarey with space. why are we not engaging in this? instead of the same ****ing morons turning it into a hitler hitlist with dirk ****ing kuyt. its ****ing old mate and cunts like me are sick to ****ing death of it. alun evans said it best, "we battered them 0-0" but to start with the same old ****e about this cunt and that cunt is wearing thin and these mother****ers are going to get called on it everytime from now on
