But he missed the best & arguably the easiest chance. I'm sorry but a so-called professional footballer to mis-control a simple pass like that is criminal. Even the defenders would have done better!
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

We still had 40 minutes after that to score though, we just didn't create enough clear cut chances
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

He will be sold in the summer. Every man and his dog can see he's not good enough, and this was another abject performance last night.

He has become a bigger object of ridicule than Heskey was...certainly in my world anyway. Fans of other clubs, mates of mine and work colleagues, have absolutely flooded me with texts and goads about "the most pointless striker in the world", as one of 'em called him.

Crouch must be seriously ****ing pissed off to be continually overlooked in favour of Deadly.

Yep, Crouch is well within his rights to start banging on Rafa's door now. To be honest his treatment has been nothing short of disgraceful this season.

Keep faith with Dirk on Saturday - even he might find the net against the Conference South high fliers. After that he should be relegated to sixth choice striker behind Babel and the much maligned Voronin.

I thought he did a number of good things last night - not least of which was an outstanding assist for the first goal.

Kuyt (this season) is possibly the worst striker i have ever seen play for LFC.

3 league goals (2 pens and a ricochet off his knee) is a terrible return for any striker at this level.

He is very good at those little round corner balls. He’s always looking for that pass and it was a good assist last night.

He had a better 1st half than Torres too, which was slightly odd.

However, for my money he was only decent and certainly not great. The 2nd half was the Dirk we’ve all come to know so well – the lowlight being his frankly shocking and unacceptable first touch when played in on goal. The worst part of it wasn’t the horrific 1st touch, though. He could’ve kept the move alive by putting the ball into the box, but no. That horrible, horrible effort sliced high and wide into the Kop was a very poor piece of play indeed and an indication of his desperation to impress and rock bottom confidence.

I said to my mate during the first half, fair do's to Kuyt he's having a good game

Roll on to the second half and it turned to rat****. I'm struggling to think of a player with a worse first touch, and I recently watched a non-league game between Ossett Albion and Colwyn Bay.

I think he needs a break. i would have given it to him over Christmas and given Crouch and/or Babel and possibly for parts of games Kewell a chance to shine. I still think there is something about Kuyt that could be very good for the team but at present his confidence is shot and it can be painful to watch. However I just think that a lot of people only see the bad in all of his performances and could do with noting the good things he does bring to the team.

It is a shame but this guy could not score in a brothel!! He is such a hard working team player who has some good moments in games, but he just cannot hit the target!!! SO frustrating.

He just seems to have lost all confidence in front of goal up to the point where he doesn't look as though he wants to get in the box! Last night I remember a cross field ball that found him in acres of space and you just thought touch and hit, but his first touch was woeful meaning his position for the shot was awful and it went high and wide!

Crouch deserves a run of games he's come on numerous times and either got us a goal or been involved in the build up or making space.

Having said that I wouldn't be suprised to see Rafa give Kuyt a game on Saturday in a bid to get confidence up

                                no confidence
                                touch got even worse
like him or loath him how he's getting a game ahead of crouch is beyond me.
what does he actually offer as a goal threat?
head went down after that miss last night could tell that was end of his game
