For the record I think we can sell Kuyt and just move Babel forward and we've already improved our chances of winning the premier league.

Apparently someone, can't remember who, just put in a 17m bid. From what I've seen of him, he looks like a more skillful Rooney.

Didn't see much of him playing alongside Torres at atletico. How did they do? I know Torres is playing a completely different role now, but still?

Can't say I seen too much of them together at Athleti, having said that, I am assuming Rafa knows all about his form in Spain form watching Torres and having close links still to Spain.

Seriously, do we NEED a target man? Utd don't have one and they seem to do alright.

Just out of interest, why do you say that, I was not aware of anything he did to make himself look like he has a bad attitude. Whenever I see him, he is always working hard,

Note: I only see him in the odd game.

There is no way Berbatov is a Rafa kind of player. He is full of skill and creativity but is a lazy sh*t and if your trying to grind out a result forget about using him.

Sour grapes or not from Jol but the things he has come out about Berbatov since leaving makes me think Liverpool should go nowhere near the lad.

I'd love to sign Berbatov but he has United written all over him. I'm certain he'll be a scum player next summer. Tevez, Rooney, Berbatov and Saha....now that's a strike force.

his attutude at spurs has by all accounts been **** since utd were linked, he's sulked when dropped to the bench, he's a greedy & selfish player which is sometimes a good traite in a forward but not when you don't deliver.

so what you're leading us to believe is that if you were to remove all his clothing and that greasy hair you'd find cheating ***** tattooed about his person?

Depends what you mean - it is obviously possible to do very well without one. However I think Rafa will always look to have one amongst his options. I agree with the comments before that even if we do sell Crouch we will be well cover with people who can play the role - even if they aren't as hard to deal with as Crouch.

I'm not as certain as I was a week ago that we will sell Crouch. Not just because of last night but in the week before I saw a number of the traditional **** stirring media reports which ended with notes that Crouch wanted to stay and Rafa was happy with him at the minute.

To be fair if this seasons Berbatov turned up I would probably prefer Voronin as at least he always puts the effort in. Berbatov has been shocking whenever I have seen him this season. Obviously last season he showed what he could do but I'm not convinced he will be a consistent performer due to being a moody twonk.

DWW - dont forget that Berbatov set up both of Tottenham's goals against us earlier in the season with two flick ons. He is a beast in the air.

If we do sign another target man I would prefer someone with reasonable pace though. When we play without Torres the chronic lack of pace is costly. It means we cant get in behind the defence on the break and it severely limits our attacking options. Berbatov has reasonable pace, if Rafa thinks he can sort his attitude out I think he would be a winner.
