Leto's problem is that he just isn't quick enough or skillful enough to be a top winger.
Why usually but not in this case?

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Leto had an absolute shocker against Marseille I think it was, last time he played for the first team. That game couldve broke him. All of Anfield on his back and playing like he had *****s for feet. Yet since then, playing in the reserves he has done very well indeed. He couldve gone to peices but it seems he hasnt, he seems to have put that behind him and used it to make himself a better player. If/when he gets his chance again in the first team, he will show more of what he is about.

Another thing that impressed me with Leto midweek is that when he went in for a challenge he was a little late and caught the Blackburn player, the Blackburn player retaliated by kicking out at Leto. Many foreigners would have rolled about the pitch for an hour but Leto just looked at the ref who sent the Blackburn player straight off.

Leto I'm not too sure about (but it's far too early to tell), but I can see both LL and Babel developing into world class players.

                I don't think that's gutting at all.

If even one of the 3 make it, they will be worth more than £20m.

How anyone can form a definite opinion on 3 young players a few months into their first season in a new league is beyond me.

Like I said in an earlier thread, look at the impact Ronaldo made 12 games into his first season at Manure, and look at him now.

give them time and games and we'll see a marked improvement, if not then so be it.

To be fair Babel and Lucas are getting a goodly amount of playing esp. since they haven't fully adapted to the EPL. Rafa is easing them in.

Leto hasn't got enough pace IMO. He may develop into a good midfielder but I wonder if he's too slow to be a winger.

Remember, the first yard is in the mind, Kenny was no speedster. If Leto has game intelligence he can make up for it. I've not seen any evidence of it though
