Liverpool is close to tying up a deal with Mascher and MSI. It's supposedly gonna be the usual £17M, but that will also include the players wages for 5 years.

Sounds unlikely. The last I heard, the FA/UEFA were looking into 3rd party ownership deals with a view to either banning them or laying down so firm guidelines so as to avoid the farce surrounding mascherano and tevez. Therefore it's extremely unlikely anything will be done until that has been sorted in case we massively over pay for him or end up with an invalid agreement.

Thing is though mate, as I see it there is no 3rd party involved regarding Mascher, MSI own him and we are buying him
With Tevez though there was West Ham, the Scum and MSI involved
Great news though if true. He's deffo a player I'd want signed on a long term contract cos IMO his best is still to come

Bascombe says I've come to hate my body
And all that it requires in this world
Bascombe says I'd like to know completely
What others so discreetly talk about
Bascombe says I hate the quiet places
That cause the smallest taste of what will be
Bascombe says I hate the big decisions
That cause endless revisions in my mind
I'm gonna watch the blue birds fly over my shoulder
I'm gonna watch them pass me by
Maybe when I'm older
What do you think I'd see
If I could walk away from me
Thank you very much.
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

MSI are the 3rd party - It's exactly the same as the Tevez scenario:
MSI own tevez and mascherano
West Ham had their player registrations
We signed mascherano on loan from west ham
Utd signed Tevez on loan from west ham
MSI still own both players

I don't believe it personally.
17m would be enough to be his wages for the 5 seasons. So MSI get nothing?.
I can;t see mascherano wanting to take much less than 60k odd.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
