That statement by Hicks isn't going to calm the situation, I can see it making it worse.

Statements like that are only going to antagonise Rafa rather than reconcile their differences.

If I was in Rafa's position I would be very unhappy. He is being paid to manage the club and is doing his best to improve us on the pitch. I don't see why the owners aren't willing to discuss transfer plans with him. They can discuss the plans without comitting money. Surely that's not asking too much.

Never liked the fact the new owners seem to be in the press all the time - this kind of **** needs to be sorted out behind closed doors and it should never ever have been allowed to become as public as it has.

I understood it at the start as they had to convince us fans after the whole D.I.C saga BUT now there is no need to start a slagging match with the boss in public especially imo the fans will back Rafa over Gillett/Hicks.

Well, IMO Rafa needs to start planning and sorting out who he will bring in and how much we will spend. Other clubs don't start thinking about transfers on teh day the window opens - Rafa is being completely reasonable and IMO they are just fobbing him off. ******s.
