The statement more or less said that they won't sack him before the 16th so it's up to Rafa if he want to stay or not and don't discuss transfers before then.Originally posted by kurtangle01 View PostThe statement doesn't exactly back Rafa but if they had game him a ringing endorsement the press would have twisted it as the dreaded vote of confidence wouldn't they?
The £6m or whatever Rafa will get if he is sacked is probably our best chance to keep him right now. It looks like our owners don't want to pay him that money and Rafa probably want them.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

A Shankly quote should be made broad and wide:
"In Football you have a holy trinity, the players, the manager and the supporters, the directors are just there to sign the cheques"[/QUOTE]
That one wins for me
If they're in LFC for profit, that's fine. But if that all they're in it for, then they can fo, the sooner the better. The silly, rich sods don't know the value of the 'bauble' they have added to their 'franchises' (puke).

Or, just to play devils advocate, the stories have some weight behind them but Gillett & Hicks realise that with a run of important matches coming up, matches that will shape our season, they don't want to rock the boat to much and want to keep the players and manager focused...

Where did i ask why we should email them?Originally posted by superdan View PostI'm not having a pop, I'm asking you to stop questioning Speedy for posting the links to the papers. If people use them and they help in any miniscule way to keep Rafa then there's no point asking why we should email them. We're Liverpool fans, we (well the majority, might not include yourself) want Rafa to stay so we have the responsibility to put a bit of effort in if we want to keep our club the way we want it

One thing's for sure. The press wont let this lie and if we fail to win on Wednesday the stories will get worse.
You could argue that Rafa put himself in his position and he better have his hard hat on when facing the press if all goes wrong.
On the flip side. If we qualify for the knock out stages the press will no doubt say that's what saved Rafa.Babel fanclub member # 4!!!
